Chapter 20 Lovely Wife

It's been days and she hasn't heard anything about Luther, which somehow relieved her. Their last encounter caused a huge rift between them and she was not sure if she is ready to see him.

Despite the heaviness she feels, she endures the passing days. She indulges Jazz's invitation, wanting to know him more. Though it's difficult, she needs to move forward. It's enough dwelling in the past.

"Thank you for accepting my invitation, Arah" Jazz smiles after they had their intimate dinner.

"I enjoy your company, Jazz. Thank you for this evening" she responded with a sincere smile. Indeed she enjoys being with him. He never made her feel suffocated despite his obvious admiration. He knows how to treat her and that is to give her the space she requires.

They are enjoying a glass of champagne when someone surprisingly joined them, with a screeching chair in tow. Followed by the smell of alcohol on his breath.
