Chapter 53 Upside Down

Left to uncertainty, Diane and Kevin waited for the unknown. They don't know what to expect as they look at the clock on the wall. It's been an hour passed after her call and nothing is happening.

"I need to ask for Arah's update. What's taking the doctors this long?" she suddenly stand up and headed to the door.

Kevin believes the same follows behind, leaving Riley still asleep. They marched together until they reached the trauma room. And their steps slowed down upon seeing security personnel everywhere. There's a commotion inside the room where Arah was brought. And several staff were outside all looking tense and terrified.

"What happened here? What about my daughter? She was inside. How is she, doctor?" Diane rushed to the doctor who talked to them earlier.

The doctor stares at her for a moment, seeming to recall who she is.

"The mother of the pregnant girl? Amara Rechner?" the doctor tries to recognize her.

"Yes, doctor. I'm her mother. How is she?" she promptly nodded.
