The Dimitri estate buzzed with conversation, soft music, and guests enjoying the evening. Elena smiled when she had to, holding her champagne glass as though it were a shield. On the outside, she was the perfect fiancée. Inside, her skin burned because across the room, Roth Dimitri watched her like prey.

He didn't bother hiding it. His expression remained calm, but the intensity of his gaze never left her. It pinned her in place, daring her. When she shifted, his eyes followed. When she sipped her drink, his mouth curved into the faintest smirk, as though he remembered how she'd tasted that night.

Adrian was gone, caught up in business conversations with friends. Elena excused herself, her heels clicking down the corridor lined with portraits of the Dimitri men. She told herself she needed air. She needed to escape Roth's constant attention.

Then his low voice slid down her spine. "You keep running, Elena. And every time, you run straight to me."

She turned, and there he was, filling the hallway. He moved closer until her back pressed against a heavy wooden door. His palm braced the panel beside her head, caging her in.

"This is where you belong," he said. "Not hanging on my son's arm, smiling like a puppet. You belong here, pinned against my door, waiting for me to decide what I'll do with you."

Elena's lips parted, but the words tangled on her tongue. She wanted to deny him, to throw his arrogance back in his face, but his breath warmed her ear, and every argument died there.

“Tell me you don’t dream about that night. Tell me you don’t wake up soaked, wishing it was my cock inside you again.”

Shame flooded her, hot and dizzying, because the truth burned too close. She hated him for saying it to her face. She hated herself more for how her body trembled.

Roth’s mouth twisted in a knowing smirk. “That’s what I thought.”

The lock clicked. His other hand had turned it without her noticing. Then the door swung, and she was pulled into his study. The hush inside was suffocating. Books lined the walls. The scent of leather and smoke lingered in the room as Roth shut the door.

He didn’t touch her at first. He paced, like a predator circling prey, slipping his tie loose and sliding it through his hand. Her gaze snagged on the movement, hypnotized. “Do you know how many times I’ve imagined bending you over that desk? Watching you break apart as I make you scream, Elena. Loud enough for everyone to hear and to shame you.”

Her grip tightened on the edge of the desk behind her. “You can’t say things like that.”

“Why not? We both remember how you sounded, begging for me that night.”

Her thighs pressed together at the memory. The hotel sheets, his mouth, his hand over hers when she clutched at the headboard as he pounded into her until she saw lights. The shameful rush of need betrayed her, and Roth saw it instantly.

“There it is,” he murmured, stepping in. “That ache you can’t hide from me.” He got closer until her back arched against the desk. His hand slid up her thigh, stopping just shy of where she throbbed. “You see?” His voice rumbled darkly. “Your body knows who it belongs to. Even if your lips keep lying.”

Elena's hands braced against his chest, trembling, not pushing him away but only holding herself together. “I’m engaged to your son.” Her voice cracked.

“And I’m his father who fucked you so good you still can’t breathe without thinking about it.” His words were a strike, filthy and cruel, but they lit her veins with fire.

Elena squeezed her eyes shut. The guilt was unbearable. And yet her pulse drummed with hunger.

His lips brushed her jaw. “Tell me you don't want this, Elena. Just one word, and I’ll walk away from you forever.” His mouth grazed her throat. “But you won’t. Because you want me to ruin you again”

Her body shook against his, her lungs scraped for air but the word never came.

“That’s my good girl,” he whispered. And then he devoured her mouth. The kiss was savage. His tongue demanding, his teeth scraped her mouth, and his grip on her hip was bruising. She moaned into him, desperate and shamed by how fast she melted. Roth swallowed it like victory and possession.

When he broke away, his lips trailed fire down her neck. He wrapped his silk tie around his hand, dragging it across her mouth, slowly. “One day I’ll bind you with this,” he growled. “Tie you open and make you mine”

Elena knees buckled. She shook her head weakly, but her lips parted against the silk, her body betraying her even as guilt clawed at her chest.

He smirked, pulling it away. “Not tonight. Tonight you’ll sit beside my son, smile pretty, and pretend.” His lips brushed her ear. “But every time you cross your legs under that table, you’ll remember my hand in your cunt instead.”

A shudder ripped through Elena as he pressed one last slow kiss to her throat, leaving her marked. Then he stepped back, his heat gone, leaving her swaying against the desk.

“Go,” he ordered softly. “Go be Adrian’s fiancée. While I wait for you to admit you’re mine.”

Her legs barely carried her to the door. She lingered there for a second, hand trembling on the handle, breath shallow, and cheeks flushed.

When she stepped back into the glittering hall, the noise of laughter and conversation continued as though nothing had happened. Adrian spotted her from across the room and smiled, oblivious to what had happened.

Elena smiled back at him, curving her lips into the perfect mask. But inside, she was breaking because Roth was right. She was already his.

Eira POV: Love shakes your insides apart. Then it rebuilds. Love is soft. Thoughtful. And most especially love is caring. As I danced to Maya singing off track i knead dough. Maya threw her head back and forth laughing at my silly dance steps. Or as so she liked to call it. I was baking a cake and some pie. “This looks good. And smells good too.” Maya said as she inhaled the scent. I was done baking the cake. I was now left with the pie. Rushed footsteps. They came into the kitchen. It was Draven and Aditya. My heart skipped. They weren’t supposed to be here early. Their eyes softened with a smile. They came closer. Draven dragged me by the waist to enclasp me in his warm huge arms. Against the wish of my throbbing thighs. I pushed them and I was even surprised it worked. They frowned like

Eira POV: The sands felt warm to my feet. The water wave made a soothing noise. And the night sky was beautifully decorated with the stars. I inhaled the cool breeze. It felt peaceful. But weirdly it still felt like something was missing. I just couldn’t for the life of me figure out what. Or how I even got here. “Hello?” A figure appeared in front of me. A young lady. Who was most likely seventeen? I flinched from the sudden interaction. “I’m Aria. She said with a big smile.” I was wary of her. “You’re not supposed to be here.” “Huh?” I felt confused. “Turn back. You can hear them calling out to you.” And I did. And true to her words I heard voices. Voices I instantly recognized. Draven. And dairus. “How?” “You died. But it’s not a hassle. Just tell the brothers this this is my appeasement for the mistake.” “Wh-“ she waved her hands. Dust appeared. And soon everything went black. And when I opened my eyes again. I was back on a bed. But This time I could clearly hear

Darius POV: We must give to gain. I never truly understood it. Until recently. When Aria said the price was for one of us to die. I went on a standstill. Cause once again. The universe was playing games with us. “Death is no tiny price.” Draven protested. “It’s really all a matter of perception. So what’s it going to be?” The Silence was tense. But I already had my answer. It was just the courage to voice it out. “Remember there’s no time. You must make your decision fast.” “I’ll do it.” I voiced without a second thought. Draven eyes widened. Aria smiled. “Interesting.” “What?” I turned to him. “It’s the best decision. I can’t let Eira die. And I can’t let you pick the choice to give your life up. Even though I have been the worst brother to you. I made a promise to mother. It’s only right to honor it.” His eyes widened even more. “That’s.. no. That’s not right. None of this is.” “Very well. Give me your hands.” “No! Are you nuts? This is for real. Don’t you want to be

Draven POV: She was fast asleep. Soundly. And deep down I feared if she woke up. She wouldn’t be herself. I stayed glued to her side. Refusing to leave. She was tied down with chains. It hurt me deeply to see her that way. Even though it was necessary. Especially after the seven-men incident. “She doesn’t deserve this,” Darius announced his presence. He’d also been stuck by her side. Refusing to leave. “I’ll fix this.” I kissed her forehead. Her body was cold. Too cold. “Do you think we did this to her?” I met his eyes. Guilt popped into them. It resonated with the one gnawing at my chest. “Stop spewing nonsense.” “I mean. All we ever did since she came into our life was fight. Drag her into our bullshit. We say we want to protect her. But all we did was drive her to the edge.” I hated that he spoke the truth. I clenched my jaw. The guilt is raw in my chest. “She’ll be fine. I’ll make sure of it.” I held on to my stubbornness. “And after that? Is it back to dragging her

Rushing to the farthest corner of the room. My hands were stained with his blood. I almost killed him. I almost. I couldn’t breathe. It was hard. Everything was too hard.
