Max POV

I was tongue-tied when my boss appeared in front of my door. 

I felt like my legs turned to jelly and my forehead began to sweat as he walked inside. 

"Sir, what are--you doing--here? It's late." My lips quivered as I smelled the scents of whiskey on his white t-shirt. 

He's too tall for me and when he came closer, I can't be seen anymore. 

"I --just--miss you." His voice became a hush to my ears.
