[ Denise's POV ]

I could feel my mom and sister's faces on me, as they were waiting for me to explain myself to them, and there was no way I could tell them the main details about what transpired between me and Mavis.

I cleared my throat and found myself lying to them. "He said I wasn't qualified to be an intern in his company," I said.

I hated the fact that I'm lying to my mom and sister, but this was the only thing I could come up with. I don't want my mom to get worried that I was almost sexually harassed.

"That is so cruel of the CEO of Starlight Food company," My sister said.

And I agreed with her on that, Mavis. C. Brown is indeed so cruel. He was the cause why I punched his face and he even went to the extent of demanding for my body, he's an annoying jerk, I thought within me.

"Are you all right?" My mom asked, looking at me with a worried face.

"Of course I am mom. I'm fine" I said, but I know within me that wasn't true. It hurts a lot that I couldn't get a chance to work in
