LOGINJudy Pov
I went alone.
Sophia wanted to come with me, but I refused,Ididn’t even know who I was meeting,Dragging her into something dangerous didn’t feel right,I couldn’t imagine her seeing me fall apart, being humiliated, or worse,She had already carried so much of my burden,This was mine alone to carry.
The drive to the location felt longer than usual, Every red light, every turn, felt like it was delaying my fate,My heart refused to calm down, hammering against my ribs like it wanted to escape,My palms were sweaty, gripping the steering wheel so tightly that the leather cut into my skin, My mind raced.
Little Palm, Florida Keys, was boldly written on top of the gate.
The moment I stepped out of the car, I realized this place was not built for people like me,
Not for girls who had lived hand to mouth, Not for girls whose life revolved around hospital bills, failed dreams, and heartbreak.
The hotel loomed like a palace.
Tall glass walls reflected the bright afternoon sun, sparkling like gold,The entrance was wide and grand, guarded by attendants in crisp uniforms.
Luxury cars lined the driveway, cars I had only ever seen on television, Rolls Royces, Lamborghinis, Bentleys… parked as if they were everyday objects.
As I walked in, my breath caught,The lobby was breathtaking.
A massive crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, glowing like a thousand tiny stars,Gold-trimmed pillars towered on both sides,The marble floor shone so brightly I could see my reflection in it, Everything screamed money, Old money,Power,Perfection.
I felt small and Insignificant.
A strange chill ran down my spine as I approached the front desk,My legs were trembling slightly, but I forced myself to stand tall.
Before I could speak, a young man in a fitted black suit walked toward me.
His steps were calm and confident.
“Hello, miss,” he said politely, bowing slightly, “You must be Judy.”
My heart skipped,My mouth went dry. “Y-yes,” I stammered. “Is… is there a problem?”
He smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyee, “Not at all. I was asked to escort you to Room 309.”
My stomach sank, The number echoed in my mind like a warning bell.
“Shall we go, Miss Judy?” he asked politely. “The boss is waiting.”
The word repeated itself in my head,Boss.
My chest tightened,My legs felt like jelly,What kind of boss? Was this a trap? Was this some cruel joke?
I nodded stiffly and followed him.
The hallways stretched endlessly, Thick carpets softened our footsteps.
The walls were lined with paintings I couldn’t even begin to imagine affording any property here, Soft golden lights glimmered off every surface,The place was unreal,Terrifying,And I was walking deeper into it like a groom going to meet her spouse for the first time.
The closer we got, the faster my heart pounded, I could feel sweat forming at my hairline,Iadjusted my posture, straightened my back, tried to breathe evenly—but every step brought a fresh wave of panic.
Finally, we stopped in front of a large wooden door.
Room 309.
My hands started shaking,I gripped my dress tightly.
“This is it,” the man said politely and pressed the doorbell and it opened immediately.
“Boss,” the man announced, bowing slightly. “She’s here.”
The man inside waved his hand casually, dismissing him, The door clicked shut.
I was alone.
He sat in a leather chair, one leg crossed over the other, his back to me,I felt like I had walked into a lion’s den.
I stood frozen for a moment, unsure if I should speak or run, My posture stiffened, Shoulders back, Head up,But my stomach twisted, and my hands trembled at my sides.
He wore dark sunglasses, hiding his eyes. I couldn’t read him, He seems calm and powerful.
I slowly lifted my gaze.
Sharp features, High cheekbones, Straight nose, strong jawline, broad shoulders.
My legs felt weak,My chest tightened, My throat went dry.
Damn!!
He was dangerously handsome, commanding… and terrifying.
“Are you going to keep standing there?” His voice suddenly filled the room. Calm, low, smooth.
I froze.
“I—uh—yes,” I stammered, barely able to find my voice.
I sank onto the expensive couch in front of him. It was impossibly soft,I almost fell in, feeling the cushion swallow me. My hands gripped the edge tightly, afraid of sinking completely,My mind kept replaying every humiliating thought, every heartbreak, every time Clark had used me.
He finally turned to face me.
And my world stopped.
Fear shot through me like electricity. My muscles tensed, my heart raced, I could barely think on seeing his face.
“What…?” I whispered.
“Mr… Mr. David Jones?” My voice was barely audible.
He smiled faintly, removing his sunglasses,Calm,Powerful.
“Nice to meet you again, Miss Judy,” he said softly, standing. “Long time, no see.”
I wanted to run, Every instinct screamed at me to get out,But I stayed, rooted to the spot.
This man… he was Clark’s enemy, The CEO to Pegasus Company, Clark had destroyed years ago.
Years ago, Clark had betrayed him in a business deal, embezzled funds, and ruined his company temporarily, And now, here he was, Ten times richer, ten times more powerful, and… terrifying.
He stepped closer, and my chest tightened again,He extended his hand.
“Relax. I’m not going to eat you,” he said with a faint smile.
I hesitated, Then slowly reached out, His grip was firm and dominating.
I pulled my hand away quickly, trying to keep my composure, My heart wouldn’t stop racing.
A knock at the door startled me.
A waitress entered, carrying a tray with two glasses of wine.
She placed them on the table and left silently. I could hear my own heartbeat echo in the silent room.
He picked up one glass and walked toward me. But then—
The drink slipped from his hand and spilled all over my dress.
“Oh—!” I gasped, my cheeks burning, My hands flew to cover my chest. The thin fabric of my dress offered no mercy,I felt completely exposed,Vulnerable and Humiliated.
He froze, eyes darkening slightly. “Wow…” he murmured.
“I—I’m so sorry,” he whispered, I hugged myself instinctively.
“It’s fine,” I added quickly, trying to regain control.
He stepped closer, reaching out like he wanted to help wipe the stain. Our faces drew dangerously close,I could feel his breath,My body reacted before I could think,Heat spread through me, heart hammering, pulse skipping.
“Relax,” he murmured, deep and calm.
I stepped back, shame flooding me,My hands clutched the sides of the couch, I felt small,Weak and Exposed.
He moved back Slowly
I sank into the couch again, taking shaky breaths.
Then he spoke, Calm,Measured.
“I have a contract for you.”
I looked at him sharply.
“A… contract?” I repeated, voice trembling.
“Yes,” he said simply. “I’ll pay for your mother’s surgery. Every cent.”
My breath hitched,I felt tears prick my eyes, Relief mingled with disbelief.
“How… how do you know about my mother?” I whispered.
He smiled faintly. “I know everything. I’ve been watching,I’ve been following the story.”
My stomach twisted,Fear and hope collided violently.
“I also know,” he continued, “that that incompetent fool left you for his rich girlfriend.”
My chest sank. The memory of Clark at the altar flashed through my mind again,Pain, betrayal, heartbreak mixed with anger ,everything surged at once.
I swallowed hard. “What… what do you want from me?”
He looked straight into my eyes, Cold, commanding, unwavering.
“Marry me.”
My blood froze.
“What??!”
The words echoed in my mind,My heart raced,My mind screamed, My stomach dropped.
I couldn’t speak,Couldn’t breathe, Couldn’t even move.
And somewhere deep inside, I knew… my life was about to change, for better or for worse .
### EPILOGUE – A New LifeMonths had passed since all the chaos. The city seemed peaceful, and the mansion was filled with warmth and laughter. David, Judy, and baby Michael were finally enjoying the calm they had fought so hard to earn. It was a sunny morning. David was in the garden, sitting on a small bench. Michael was in his lap, giggling and kicking his tiny feet. David held his hands carefully, making him wave and laugh. “You’re getting stronger every day, little one,” David whispered, smiling. “Look at you… full of life already.” Judy came outside, holding a soft blanket. She smiled as she watched David and Michael. Her hair was tied neatly, and her eyes shone with happiness. “Good morning, my boys,” she said softly. David looked up, kissing her hand. “Morning, my love. Come, Michael wants to see his mother.” Judy sat next to them. Michael reached out his tiny hands, grabbing her fingers. She laughed softly. “Hello, my baby. Mommy missed you so much.” Michael cooed
The mansion was quiet now, almost peaceful. After the celebration for the baby, life seemed to be slowly returning to normal. David and Judy were at home, resting and enjoying their son. The threat of Cassandra still lingered in the back of their minds, but they were safe for the moment. The phone rang suddenly. David picked it up. It was Deputy Cole.“Sir… we have news about Cassandra,” Cole said carefully. “She’s speaking. She… she exposed someone.”David’s heart skipped a beat. “Who? Who is it?”Cole hesitated. “It’s… it’s Mara, sir. The maid.”David froze. “Mara? The one who has been with Judy all this time?”“Yes, sir. She said she was giving Cassandra information about your home, your movements… everything.”David’s hand tightened around the phone. He looked at Judy, who had been sitting nearby, holding their son. Her face went pale.“What?” Judy whispered. “Mara… she was… helping Cassandra?”David nodded slowly, disbelief in his eyes. “Someone we trusted… someone we thought was
The hospital doors opened, and sunlight fell softly on David and Judy as they stepped outside. Judy was still weak, but she held their baby carefully in her arms. David walked beside her, his hand supporting hers. Their hearts were full of relief.“Home,” David whispered softly, glancing at the familiar streets. “Finally… we’re going home.”Judy smiled faintly. “Yes… home… I’ve missed it. Even after everything, it feels safe now.”Sofia, who had been staying nearby, rushed to their side. She carried a small bag with essentials for Judy and the baby. “I can’t believe we’re finally bringing you home,” she said, her voice trembling with happiness.David nodded. “Thanks for staying close, Sofia. I couldn’t have done it without you.”Judy smiled weakly. “Yes… thank you… you’ve been like family.”---The car ride home was quiet. David drove carefully, constantly glancing at the rearview mirror, still fearful someone could follow them. Guards from the mansion were posted at every corner, rea
The police station was busy, full of officers moving from one desk to another. Cassandra sat in a small, cold room, her hands cuffed tightly. Her face was pale, but her eyes were still hard. She refused to speak.Officers questioned her again and again. “Who helped you? Why did you do this? Why hurt Judy?”Cassandra only smiled faintly. She didn’t say a word. She knew she could not give anything away yet. Her mind was calculating, planning, even in captivity.---Meanwhile, the hospital was full of nurses and doctors rushing around. David’s car had sped through the night, the tires screeching as he brought Judy in safely. Guards followed closely behind to make sure no one could approach.David ran into the emergency room, his heart beating fast. His hands shook as he saw Judy on the stretcher. Her face was pale, and her breathing was shallow.“Judy! Are you okay?” he shouted.Judy opened her eyes slowly. She tried to smile, but it was weak. “I… I’m fine… just tired,” she whispered.Th
The night air was thick and quiet outside the warehouse. David’s heart was pounding so hard it felt like it would burst. Cassandra had disappeared with Judy, and she was dangerous.“Move! We have to follow them!” Deputy Cole shouted to the officers.David didn’t wait. He jumped into the first car with the police. His hands clenched tightly on the seat. “Go! Go! Go!” he screamed. The other police cars followed closely. Sirens wailed, red and blue lights flashing across the dark streets.---Inside the black SUV, Cassandra drove with calm precision. She held the wheel with one hand, and with the other she kept her gun ready. Judy sat beside her, still tied, her face pale and her body shaking.“Please… I beg you… don’t hurt me,” Judy whispered. Tears rolled down her cheeks.Cassandra’s lips curved into a cold smile. “Quiet, little bird. Your cries will not save you. David broke my heart… and now I will make him suffer. Both of you will pay.”Judy held her belly. “My baby… please…”“Shut
Inside the dark warehouse, the air was cold and heavy. The weak bulb above Judy’s head flickered again and again. Shadows moved slowly across the walls.Judy sat on the floor, her hands tied. Her body felt weak, but her eyes were open. Fear lived inside her heart, but she tried to stay strong for her baby.In front of her stood Cassandra. Her veil was off now. Her face was clear. Her eyes were full of anger and pain.Judy looked at her with shock.“Cassandra…” she whispered.Cassandra smiled coldly.“Yes. I’m still alive. And today, I came to end everything.”Judy swallowed.“Why are you doing this?” she asked. “Why are you hurting us?”Cassandra’s face hardened.“Because David destroyed my life,” she said. “And now I will destroy his.”---Cassandra began to walk slowly around the small room.“There was a time when I thought I would marry him,” she said. “I thought I would be the one in that mansion. I thought I would carry his child.”Her eyes moved to Judy’s belly.“But look at you

The afternoon sun was soft and warm. It spread across the large windows of the mansion and filled the living room with golden light. Judy sat quietly on the long cream sofa. A glass of warm milk rested in her hands, but she had not taken a single sip.Her mind was still on the phone call with Clark
Judy and Sophia walked slowly out of the hospital. The sun was bright, but Judy did not feel its warmth. Her heart was still heavy from the news she had just received.Pregnant.The word kept repeating in her mind. Her fingers rested gently on her stomach as they walked to the roadside.Sophia held
The hospital room was quiet that morning.Soft sunlight came through the window, falling gently on the white sheets. The air smelled clean, and the machines beside Judy’s bed made slow, steady sounds.Judy sat up carefully on the bed. She looked much better than the day before, but her face still s
