Next day....

Emily stirred before anyone else, her lashes fluttering open.

She was sprawled on Lucas and Gloria’s plush mattress, cuddled into her grandmother’s arm like a little cat.

“Good morning, my precious angel,” Gloria whispered, kissing the top of her granddaughter’s messy curls when she felt her awake.

Emily giggled. “Grandma, you smell like flowers.”

“Of course I do. Roses never forget their perfume,” Gloria said with a wink, smoothing down Emily’s hair.

A muffled chuckle came from the corner of the room.

Lucas sat in his armchair, newspaper already in hand, glasses perched on his nose. He had been awake for a while, watching the two giggle together.

“Grandma snores,” Emily said suddenly, her voice serious as though she were testifying in court.

Gloria gasped. “I beg your pardon!”

“You dooo,” Emily insisted, drawing out the word, her small face scrunched up in mock disgust. “You sounded like a tractor last night. I thought Grandpa brought his car into the room!”

  • I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess    Nikolai’s Guilt

Camilla’s smile faded. She sighed, running a bloodied hand through her hair.“You don’t have to worry,” she said more seriously. “I didn’t hand her over to the police. And she’s definitely not free.”That got their attention.“Let’s keep praying,” she added quietly, her eyes flicking toward the hallway leading to surgery, “until we settle our problems.”Her gaze hardened. "Then we’ll deal with her properly.”Gloria released a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding.Relief washed through her, brief and fragile. Then her face crumpled.“Stacy,” she whispered suddenly, panic rushing back like a tidal wave. “What happened to Stacy? What happened to my daughter? My baby girl—”“She’s in the operating room,” Cassie said quickly, stepping closer. “They took her straight in. She’s fighting.”“They’re doing everything they can,” Rafael added softly.“We’re praying,” Adrian said. “She’s strong, Mom. She’s your daughter! Strong and a fighter.”Gloria nodded shakily.“And Lucas?” she asked,

  • I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess    Where Is Eliana?

“Where is Camilla?”The question fell into the hospital room like a stone dropped into still water, sending ripples through every heart already stretched too thin to bear another blow. For a brief moment, no one answered. Then Rafael cleared his throat, his jaw tightening as if even speaking the words required effort.“She went after Eliana.”The moment that name left his mouth, it was as if the oxygen in the room dropped.Eliana... The devil! The monster!!The woman whose hands were soaked in blood, whose cruelty had dragged their family into fire, bullets, and screams that would haunt them forever.Gloria’s entire body went rigid. Her hands, still trembling moments ago, curled slowly into fists, nails biting into her palms as something dark settled into her eyes, something cold, ominous, and terrifyingly calm.“If she’s not dead yet,” Gloria said quietly, her voice so controlled it was more frightening than a scream, “if Camilla hasn’t killed her yet… then I want her alive.”Everyon

  • I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess    Save Her!!!

The group ran because stopping meant having to think. And thinking meant breaking. And breaking meant losing. Adrian was ahead, sprinting blindly through the dark, his vision tunneling, his heart slamming so violently against his ribs it hurt. Stacy’s limp body was cradled in his arms, impossibly light, terrifyingly still, and her blood soaking into his clothes, warm, sticky, and real. Each step sent a jolt of pain through his body, but he didn’t feel it. All he felt was the unbearable weight of his little sister's unmoving chest against his. Her head lolled weakly against his shoulder, her hair damp with blood, her face far too pale, far too quiet. “Hold on,” Adrian whispered hoarsely, the words tearing out of him as a plea ripped straight from his soul. “Please… just hold on. I haven't treated you like a little sister yet.” He didn’t know if she could hear him. He didn’t know if she was still there. But he kept talking anyway. Behind him, Gloria stumbled, her steps unev

  • I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess    Eliana’s Downfall By Camilla

Camilla didn’t stop running chasing after Eliana. Her lungs burned so fiercely it felt as though they were shredding from the inside out, every breath scraping raw against smoke-filled air that tasted like ash, gasoline, and destruction Her vision blurred at the edges, tears streaming not from weakness but from the thick smoke clawing mercilessly at her eyes and throat, yet still, she didn’t slow. Not when debris crashed behind her, beams collapsing with thunderous force, sending vibrations through the ground beneath her feet. Not when the heat scorched her skin like a warning straight from hell, blistering, unforgiving, and relentless. Because all she could see was Eliana. Eliana’s silhouette sliced through the smoke ahead of her. The monster who had spent the entire night orchestrating death, pulling strings, playing god... Was gone. Now? Now she was running. Running like a coward. “ELIANA!” Camilla screamed. Her voice tore through the burning corridor, sharp

  • I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess    The Successful Rescue

The moment Eliana lifted her hand, everything exploded. “Kill them,” she ordered coldly. Her men didn’t hesitate. They surged forward all at once, guns snapping up into firing positions. It felt like a battlefield. A war zone. Fire roared so loudly it drowned out reason. Shouts collided with gunfire. Wood collapsed. Glass shattered. The heat pressed in from all sides, suffocating and relentless. Nikolai moved first. He didn’t think, he reacted. In one brutal, decisive motion, he shoved Emily back toward the safest corner he could find, lowering himself to shield her body from the worst of the smoke, his voice hard and urgent, filled with panic and love. “Baby! Baby listen to Daddy. Close your eyes,” he told her tightly, gripping her shoulders just long enough to make sure she heard him. “Count. Don’t stop counting. No matter what you hear. Close your eyes and start counting. I promise to come get you soon.” Emily nodded frantically, tears streaking her cheeks, her small hands

  • I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess    I Already Chose You, Elara.

Young master? The words sliced through the stunned silence and spiraled into chaos inside people's minds. Murmurs erupted instantly. Who the hell is this man? Why was he here in the first place? What is his background? How did Elara - the girl they whispered about as "the adopted nobody" - get involved with a man addressed with such reverence? Was he influential? Did he come from an even wealthier family? Was he dangerous? Which wealthy family did he come from? Lucian did not bother acknowledging any of them. Not a single person. Not Aaron. Not Marjorie. Not Evelyn. Not Ethan. Not the relatives who once smirked at Elara with barely hidden contempt. His gaze however, never left Elara. His voice, cold, devoid of any emotion drifted through the tense air. "Get rid of them!" That was all... No shouting. No threats. Just a quiet authority that rippled down the spines of everyone present. Without hesitation, the bodyguards moved. Two of them seized Aaron by the arms as he thrash
