Chapter 19: Drive on the left
Cuore's pov
I saw the boy had slipped my dagger into his pocket. At least he would keep it safe. Mr Nova and the Prince pulled me up. My arm hurt more as the bullet was pressed deeper.I felt like I had no energy to even blink. I closed my eyes and let them carry me out. When Taylen touched my hand I felt a sense of peace. The other two seemed so familiar, that is probably due to the fact that they were me. Just male versions I guess. I woke up in a hospital bed. The soft mattress and blankets were warm against my skin. This time I was actually in a hospital. I slowly sat up and noticed I had a drip in my wrist once again. I looked at my arm, it had a bandage wrapped over where I was shot. I pulled the blanket off, even my thigh was bandaged. I had on a hospital gown and I was clean. Taylen's povMy mouth flew open when I heard how much the Prince had spent on a ring. A ring. An engagement ring. Not even the actual ring. I smiled at Cuore as she took another bite of the food. It was good she was eating. I felt like she was my older sister. We were all so worried when she went in. It legit felt like there was something missing when she wasn't around. Prince Tay's povEver since I had first seen her I was memorised. She held up a dagger while her precious blood dropped onto the floor. It was something I had never felt before. Mr Nova's povThere were so many similar things about us. The way we walked was identical, even the pace and irregular timing of our steps. Cuore just added a feminine touch to it. We all gestured while talking and even had the same posture.It made me feel uncomfortable when I noticed how alike we all are. I felt happy when our likes or personalities differed. We agreed on a lot of things and all seemed to think of the same response to a situation. When one of us left, there was this sense of displacement. It was as if the other was a part of our soul. I cared about each one of them but I just wished it wasn't so difficult to be away from them. How will we cope once we all go back to our own worlds? The thought of another version in this dimension was always at the back of my mind. That was a problem for another day. The others always turned to me for explanations of this parallel situation, I knew as much as them. This was a new discovery

The whole night was filled with tossing and turning. I didn't want to fall back into a deep sleep and start dreaming again. At around 5am I decided to wake up. I made myself some coffee and got back into rewriting Tanencha from my memory. I was productive and got about a fifth down. It was about 7:30 am when I stopped at Taylen's door and listened if he was awake. No sound came from the room so I knocked on his door. "Yes?" He sleepily asked and opened the door. Cuore's povWe decided to head back to Māhia. We booked into a hotel online near a shopping centre. There were only 2 available rooms. So we had to share. Tay was told to share a room with me since he was the lightest sleeper. They were always worried something would happen during the night. It kind of annoyed me. I wasn't some damsel in distress. Every day I seemed to grow a bit stronger. I wanted to get back to my daily exercises and training. I hated myself for not being able to walk on my own, but Tay's help made it a whole lot easier. That's why I shut up and politely accepted. This weird exciting feeling crept into me when he was assigned as my roommate. I don't know how or why but whenever he touched me my skin felt like it was on fire. He had so much warmth radiating off of his body. I felt happy when he smiled at me or we just had a conversation. I think I like him. Yes, I believe I like the male version of myself. Was that weird?
