Chapter 21: My older sister

Taylen's pov

My mouth flew open when I heard how much the Prince had spent on a ring. A ring. An engagement ring. Not even the actual ring.

I smiled at Cuore as she took another bite of the food. It was good she was eating. I felt like she was my older sister. We were all so worried when she went in. It legit felt like there was something missing when she wasn't around.

Mr Nova was very smart. He was good at telling us what to do and I respected him a lot. He seemed unsure about Cuore at first but when the doctors told us she had been through horrible circumstances, he softened and showed he also cared about her.
