Winny POV
I was taken to the Central Criminal Detention Centre, a few blocks away from the suite where I had gone to see Alpha Sean. Could he have done this, and what do they mean my father had debts, and even if he did, how could it be related to me getting arrested?
My heart pounded in my rib cage as the guards took me to a segregated office. They opened the door, pushed me in, and closed it behind me.
“You!” I hissed. “What is it now? Can’t you let me go?” As if having a dead father wasn’t enough, Mark had to get me arrested the same night?
“Darling,” he said and spun his chair. His back rested while his tie was nowhere to be found, as his first three buttons opened. I could see the little hairs on his chest, and something spurred me to gulp.
I hate the effects he still has on me. My wolf was furious, angry, and she could devour Mark right now.
“Well,” he continued as I managed to stay in a single position, gazing death at him. “I’m sorry about your father; he was a good man.” The sarcastic note in his voice is evident. “Too bad someone has to pay his debts now that he is gone.”
“And I am that someone?”
“Correct! I love how you put the pieces together. You see, Raymond took some Pack funds a long time ago and tried to start up a business as the Beta of the Pack. Well, he was terrible at being a businessman, just as he was terrible at being a father.”
I clenched my fists and sucked it in for a minute.
“So, his debts of five million dollars would—”
“Five million?” I half yelled and slammed my fists on his table. “How is that possible?”
“Relax, honey, I understand how you feel. Those debts have been transferred to you since you are his Next of kin.”
I laughed sarcastically and stood straight with a smirk. “I, Winny, you mean I am his next of Kin? What happened to Becky? Isn’t she the real next of kin?”
“Sadly, that exchange of identity hasn’t been documented, so you have to pay that money.”
I wouldn’t say my whole life came crashing in front of me, but there was no way I would ever be able to come up with five million dollars. If I worked hard for the rest of my life, I doubt I would be able to make a million dollars.
“Mark, I—”
Mark raised a finger to shut me up. “You know I love you, Winny, and I really hate that all these things are currently happening to you. You don’t have any choice now. You should think about the choice I gave you. I can help you pay both this and your hospital bills. I’ll take care of everything. All you need to do is say yes.”
I bit my lower lip.
“I can’t give you much time to think about this. You should know the right thing to do. Your life would be comfortable with me. I would give you everything you need, and things would go back to the way they used to be before.
I smirked. The way they used to be before? “I’d rather die than be your mistress, Mark. You can rot in hell with your money!”
“Stubborn as always. A few days and you would come back running once you taste how bitter the prisons are.”
My body trembled. Not only have I lost everything, but I have incurred bad luck into my life.
He rang the bell to call the guards to take me away. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. Nothing can hurt me anymore…
The guards came in, one grabbing my arm from each side. I didn’t want to go. I stiffened, but they dragged me still. Tears rolled down my face as I was being dragged towards the door. I closed my eyes again and hoped it would end.
The door opened, and a familiar scent filled the room. With my eyes closed, I wonder why I am thinking of him in this dreadful moment, like he had not dismissed me a couple of hours ago.
The guards stiffened, and then I didn’t feel their grips on me anymore. I opened my eyes and found Alpha Sean standing right in front of me, his gaze filled with tension as he glared at the guards. His gaze shifted to me, and something else clouded his eyes…worry.
“Are you hurt?” He asked. I shook my head.
“Alpha…” Mark rose from his seat. “She…she is a prisoner…”
“I’m taking her with me.” His voice was enough to shake everyone in the room. The guards quavered in fear, and Mark was speechless. None of them were as shocked as I was. I couldn’t take my gaze away from him.
He bent and swept my feet with his hands and carried me out. I didn’t dare look at him as I hung my arm around his neck tightly.
His aura screamed death, and even my wolf was terrified. But I felt safe in his arms, even if it meant a deeper hell.
We got to his car and he drove me down to his suite by himself. We went back to the room he had chased me out of, watching for the second time in one night as the guards bowed down to him.
Once in his room, he sighed heavily. “You said you had the power to satisfy me, yet you were helpless back there.” His voice was low with a bit of joy.
“How did you—”
“I am the Alpha of the Pack. I can locate you anytime I want. You have a charming scent I would always recognize.”
My cheeks burned, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that he was up to something. “Why did you save me and bring me back to your room?”
“I told you. I get what I want because I want it. And right now, you are all I want.” His eyes burned into mine as he stood inches before me. His breath once again fanned my face, making me hot.
“Or have you lost your special ability to create pleasure?” He came closer. He tossed my chin up with his finger.
My mind could not think of any other thing but getting pinned down by a hungry Alpha. I gulped again.
I closed my eyes, waiting for his lips…but they never came.
“Have a seat,” he said and walked down to his table to pour himself a liquor. My heart was pounding in my chest as I stood still, unable to move. Afraid the moist between my legs may run down like an open tap.
“I’ve got a deal for you.”
I sat down, trying not to look at him and just listen.
“I’ll cover all your debts. All of it, grant you immunity from the pack laws, and I’ll make you my territorial advisor. Does that sound great to you?”
“All of that?” I could sense arrogance in his words. “What could you possibly want from me? I have nothing left.”
He smirked and stared at my shoulder. “The only thing you can give.”
Becky’s POV.Things aren’t the way I had depicted them to be. I should already be married to Mark, and he should already be the Alpha of the Pack, so I can claim my title as the Luna.Winny's paying that sick visit still tore me apart, and I am still in shock. Her expressions with the threats she gave were almost enough to give me a heart attack. She used to be a soft, gentle cat, but now she was like silver to me - dangerous. Even after I had everything that belonged to her, she still managed to get a smile on her face.Mark didn’t tell me the deal between her and Alpha Sean, but I hope she is rotting in his hell. A huge part of me feels like she is living in luxury instead. The man, however, disturbed me heavily. Handsome as he was, I didn't expect Winny to know anyone of such a rank.Jane and Lily had called me half an hour ago to let me know they were on their way. They both arrived soon.“Hey girl,” Lily said with a smile, attempting to hug me, but I took a step back.“What are y
Alpha Sean. The next few days have been complicating how I felt and how to deal with the pack. It was hard watching Winny drown herself in sorrow in the rain. The strange thing was that I felt something when I carried her, a kind of force like something was trying to pull her away from my arms. But there was nothing. The feeling lasted just a few minutes till I got into the car. I stopped Winny from stepping out for the next few days. She needed that time. “You have been staring at that glass for a while now,” Gabriel said with a smirk on his face. We were at his pack, his secret room underneath his house; he called it a base room. Usually, no one pays attention, but today, they were all staring at me like I was the topic for the day’s discussion.“What do you plan on doing tomorrow?” I asked Gabriel. Even though I didn’t really like him, I had to ask so he won’t mess things up for my pack members tomorrow.“You both are no fun,” Lucas interrupted. “We have spoken about this a lot
WinnyI stood defenseless in front of the door, my body slightly trembling from the memories I had of this place. Nothing has changed since I left here and since my father left, but it felt empty, it felt dead.I sighed deeply again and knocked on the door.“Who’s there?” My mother’s bright voice replied. A smile escaped my lips. I missed the times she used to be like that. Loving and caring, especially towards me.I tried to speak, but the words won’t come out. Every time I spoke since Becky came in, I always got punished for letting my voice out. So I knocked again, and she opened this time. She appeared with a warm smile as she opened the door, but it quickly vanished like smoke when she saw me. She squinted her eyes, probably trying to be sure I was the one she was looking at.“Winny?” She asked in a low, deep tone.“Hello…” This is bad. I don’t know if I should call her mom or just let her be. It’s hard when everything I do is tagged as a sin.“Mom, did you just say Winny!” Becky
ALPHA Sean I called her name numerous times, but she was unresponsive. The mark under her shoulder blazed with light. Even as she was unconscious, her heartbeat raced. She had half-shifted before she fell to the ground, but I didn’t get to see exactly what she looked like. I could only imagine the pain she had to go through with a forced shift. The little silver fur on her body started to retract, and her body started to shift back in place. Her beautiful human skin replaced the fur, and her body went back to normal. The moment I touched her, I felt a new kind of relief, one I had never felt in a very long time, but looking down at her innocent face made my heartbeat race.I carried her and covered her with my coat, then gently left the restroom with her in my arms. Her breath kissed my face as I gently went down the stairs. Alex was already there; he knew what to do. I’m not sure exactly how I feel, a kind of guilt or the type of happiness I had always wanted and sought?I had her
WINNYI couldn’t stop thinking about Alpha Sean or what he told me during dinner. Things have been happening in this house. I have been thinking, not only when Alpha Sean would tease and kiss me—though I’d replayed that particular experience more times than I could count—but the way he rose from his seat with threats written boldly on his face. The way he grabbed my neck and pinned me to the wall while I searched his eyes for something, a kind of hope that he might actually feel something for me.And then, after he’d asked about his acting skills, something was wrong. His face, once lit up with joy, came crushing like weak light. Unlike other people, he was hard to read. I couldn’t exactly point out if something was troubling him. These are thoughts I shouldn’t have. There are no rooms for them in my contract with Alpha Sean, yet, I couldn’t stop these thoughts from living rent-free in my head.“Get yourself together!” I commanded as I walked towards Grace’s house. Some nearby kids g
Alpha SeanWatching Winny groan every time I tease her gives me a kind of reassurance. At last, she is here with me. The little freckles on her cheeks make her more unique each time I look at her.No one would ever believe she was what she was. I haven’t had the opportunity to feel what she tastes like in a few days. Still, every time I see her is an avenue for temptation.“You came here early,” Luca said and joined at the bar counter.“You’re late. You are always late. For a moment, I thought it would be different since you called to meet.”Luca laughed slyly and winked at the beautiful bartender, whose cheeks turned red the moment she looked at him. Luca wasn’t a flirt, but he had his way with women. One day, he manipulated me into agreeing to a bet. He bet that I couldn’t get as many women as him in two minutes. He went around flirting and gesturing to girls in and out of the club. I didn’t stand from my seat, yet I had the most amount of women and beat him at his own game.“You s
