Chapter 17

Anna pov

I heard Derek crying in his sleep. He was crying her name which upset me. I got up and fed our boy which we needed a name for. I wanted an easy name so he wouldn't struggle with it when he went to school.

"You're such a cute munchkin",I whisper, kissing his face. He eats greedily before I change and burp him. After getting him to sleep I crawl back in and go to sleep. I feel Derek get up and pace. His breathing was ragged and heavy as he cried out her name. My heart clenched but I kept my breathing steady and my eyes closed. This hurt so bad I knew he would miss her. They had years together. She had a part of him I will never fully get and I just had to accept that even if it hurt.

It hurt that he was dreaming of her but she was with him for years so I understand why he would dream about her. I feel him leave and I sit up with tears filling my eyes cause he left to mourn her.
