Chapter 0005

Carol had known that Myka would misunderstand.

But, to not worry her friend, Carol did not tell her what had just happened.

“Let’s go. This place isn’t safe. Let’s drink elsewhere.”

Once Carol hailed a cab to send Myka back to her place, she went back home.

After she got out of her car, she saw a black Bentley parked outside the gate. This was a surprise.

Kieran actually decided to come back?

Were pigs flying in the sky?

Before she could go inside, Mrs. Oceane, the Abner family’s housekeeper, stopped her. “I don’t think you should go in, Madam.”

“What’s wrong? Is Kieran throwing a drunken fit again?”

“Mr. Kieran isn’t drunk, but…”

When Carol saw the hesitant expression on Mrs. Oceane’s face, she got curious. “But what?”

“He brought a woman back, and they’re in the bedroom…”

Mrs. Oceane did not finish her sentence, but Carol could guess the rest of it.

What else could a grown man and woman do in the bedroom in the middle of the night?

Carol did not listen to Mrs. Oceane’s advice to not go in. Once she reached the living room, she heard a woman’s voice coming from the bedroom on the second floor.

…No wonder that man asked her whether she was a virgin at Uptown Bar. Her moans were truly fake.

Carol patted her head. She finally understood what he meant.

But why was she thinking about that man? All he did was bring her bad luck.

She looked up and saw that the bedroom door was not closed. It was no wonder why she could hear them so clearly downstairs.

Kieran was such an exhibitionist.

So, she decided to go upstairs and push the door wide open.

The woman in bed was on her knees with her face turned to the door. At the sight of Carol, she panicked. “What the hell?! Don’t you have any shame?! Get the hell out and shut the door!”

“I see your sexual prowess is still pretty good. The car must have been too cramped, so you couldn’t display your vigor. You’re pretty lively in bed.”

She ignored Kieran and the woman in bed and went to the walk-in closet.

Kieran got angry.

Carol’s nonchalance infuriated him.

His anger turned into a raging fire that made him lose himself in the throes of passion.

When Carol came out with her pajamas and another work suit, Kieran was still having fun with the woman.

He looked up and met her gaze. “Carol, you sure are shameless. I’m surprised you’re not embarrassed at all!”

“Don’t worry, Mr. Kieran. Just continue. Pretend like I never came by.” Carol quickly left the bedroom, but, just when she was about to shut the door, Kieran grabbed her wrist.

He glared at the bite on her neck. “Stop pretending like you’re some blushing maiden in front of me and saying you’ve never dreamt about sleeping with me!”

“Don’t go accusing me of something I didn’t do if you don’t have proof. Do you actually think I’m the same as you?”

“No proof? Hah!”

He dragged her back into the bathroom, yanked her collar open, and pointed at the bite mark on her neck. “Did a mosquito leave that f*cking mark on you?”
