Cadmus Hunter's POV

I woke up the next day feeling a little foggy but as I opened my eyes, I saw Erin's face a few inches across mine and she said with a straight face, "Oh, you're awake. Everyone's been looking for you."

Ah. Seeing her look at me so sternly like that makes me sad. Draining her of her warmth and smile was the worst thing I did. She hated me so much that she slept on the couch to avoid me. I couldn't blame her. I looked away and said, "Oh, right. The ball. I should get going."
