"Write down your name, then submit the form to the city hall," Roland Brock said while impatiently tapping the table. He then lowered his head to look at his phone.

Freya Federer's name kept appearing on the screen.

Just seeing her name was enough to make Roland stop frowning and smile instead.

But when he faced me, all I saw was indifference.

After a brief pause, his expression softened. As if rewarding me for being obedient, he leaned forward and kissed my forehead.

"Don't worry. Since we're registering our mate bond, I'll look after you. But from now on, stop getting jealous of Freya. She saved my life, so I have a responsibility to look after her too."

I remained silent.
