CHAPTER NINE: Reaper’s Love Bite

“This is deplorable...” I murmured.

I just made my way toward the bulletin board after boring a hole at the wall a crowd of students made.

99.99% of the students were happy about the announcement and I was not one of them. Who would celebrate the foundation day two weeks after a death of a student? Is this their way to make the people of VeM forget about it?

After I managed to pass through the crowd I saw Amara running away. She already knew. Gossips in Silverio were like airborne diseases, they spread fast.

“Amara!” I ran after her but someone pulled my arm stopping me.

“Let her be. She needs time to be alone.” Her sight followed Amara as I watched her.

I clicked my tongue and removed her hand on my arm. I don’t know why seeing her right now annoyed me big time.

“Why is everyone letting out their anger at me when dad makes decisions they are against with?” She released a heavy sigh and turned her back at me. “I am not my father,” she added and walked away.

“Amanda...” I called
