Chapter 25 Going Home

After hanging up the phone, Edwin seemed unsatisfied, grabbing my face and biting my lips forcefully.

Unable to continue the act, I pushed him away. He sneered, thinking I had been awakened by his bite.

That afternoon, while he napped, I left the apartment and checked the balance on the card. Not surprisingly, there was a transfer of a hundred thousand dollars in the morning.

Quietly, I broke the card in half and threw it into two separate trash cans far apart.

Then I called the bank manager to report it as lost.

At that moment, I finally made a decision.

I borrowed money from Otelia and booked a flight for 10 o'clock that night. When I called, Otelia found out that I still hadn't left Edwin after all this time, and her silence was so loud.

Through tears, I smiled and said to her, "Don't worry. It's all going to end. Thank you for helping me so many times."

After hanging up, I returned to the apartment. He hadn't gotten up yet.
