Chapter 3

I counted down as I looked forward to the day I could leave.

On the way to my visa appointment, Tanya suddenly sent someone to stop me.

I was subdued and brought back to the mansion. Then, they placed me on the cold, hard examination table.

Five male doctors and a few bodyguards tied my limbs down.

As I struggled, one of the male doctors’ phones started ringing.

I heard Sam’s voice come through.

“Examine him closely!”

“Mr. Reid, we’re professionals.”

I was furious. “Sam, just wait! I’m going to kill you! Tanya, you too!”

I knew that she was with Sam.

As expected, I heard her voice.

“John, I’m pregnant, please don’t make this difficult for me. I’m 35 this year, so I can’t afford to wait anymore.”

It was obvious that she wanted me to cooperate with the examination.

Since she was 25, she had been hoping that she would be a mother.

Once, we almost had a child. The quality of Tanya’s eggs was not good, so it was hard for us to get pregnant.

She spent years trying to get healthier, and finally, she got pregnant.

We were the happiest when she was pregnant.

However, just when she was about to give birth, she fell in love with Sam.

Sam was young, handsome, and lively.

He only brought her along for a ride while she was completely smitten.

That day, Sam uploaded a photo of them and the bike online.

Many people online said that they were a match made in heaven and that they were a beautiful couple.

When I saw the photo online, three days had already passed.

It was then that I found out Tanya had suffered a miscarriage from their bike adventure.

Tanya did not learn from her mistake after losing our child.

She cried and promised, “It’s only an accident. We’ll have other children.”

Tanya did not know that, since that moment, I was completely disappointed in her.

When she got pregnant again, she definitely tried her best to keep it!

Her words were like knives that stabbed into my flesh over and over again.

She knew that I was extremely hurt from losing our child, but she was asking me to endure the humiliation for her and Sam’s child.

I yelled at her, “Tanya, you’re a heartless witch! If you dare to let them touch me, I won’t let you off the hook!

“How dare you treat me like this? You can’t do this to me!”

Sam said impatiently, “Am I here to listen to you fight?”

Tanya also lost her patience. She immediately instructed the doctor, “Put him under anesthesia first.”

She paused and comforted me, “It’ll just be for a short while. It won’t cause any harm to you. Please understand where I’m coming from.”

I was still struggling ferociously. When I saw the male doctor grab a long, thin instrument and take off my pants, I felt an overwhelming sense of fear.

The other doctor was injecting me with anesthesia.

I could not struggle free, so I soon lost consciousness.

I did not know how much time had passed, but as I drifted in and out of consciousness, I realized that Tanya had not ended the call.

The doctor was still examining me.

His phone was placed next to my ear, so I could hear the weird noises.

It sounded like Tanya was holding herself back.

“I’m pregnant. We can’t do this. After we have our child, I’ll make it up to you.”

“No, I’ll be gentle. Even though you’re pregnant, we should still keep to our 12 times a month target.”

His sweet voice sounded disgusting to me.

Suddenly, he asked on purpose, “You always say you love me, but why haven’t you divorced your husband?”

I also wanted to know the answer to this question, so I paid attention.

Tanya responded like it was nothing. She said, “Are you silly? If I divorce him, half of my assets will have to go to him. I didn’t let him touch me for the last few years. It’s basically like we’re divorced.

“Remember, I’m a businesswoman. I have to weigh the pros and cons.”
