CHAPTER TWENTY''FOUR

4:30 pm '' Jessica's house. '' New York '' USA.

We chatted for a while, discussing what our lives would be like from now on. As much as my choice is to go back to the boys' mansion, my chest hurts knowing that I will no longer live with my best friend on a daily basis. The two of us have known each other since the time we lived in the orphanage, we were always close and we only distanced ourselves because Jess was lucky to be adopted by a considerably wealthy family, however, the physical distance did not prevent us from keeping in touch and although I was not as lucky as she is, it didn't hurt our friendship at all. That's why we promised each other that nothing will ever change, not even the hardest times.

When I finish packing my bags, I turn my attention to her, who has her arms crossed and her face sullen. I smile.
