“What are you up to, Letty? You were not taught to be so feeble!” The woman scolded her daughter.

Letty, who had been confined to their house, felt hesitant to venture outside after months of isolation. Letty has been isolating herself from the world’s curious gaze.

Letty remained silent, her gaze fixed on her mother. Right from the start, it was all her mother’s doing. “You are Richard Welthe’s daughter, and no one else’s! We need to convince him; otherwise, we'll end up homeless!” Letty was subjected to a woman’s piercing scream.

“Mom, I’m not! Everyone is mocking me! People are saying mean things about me without my knowledge. I feel incredibly humiliated, and I can’t bring myself to confront anyone.” Letty raised her voice at her mother.

The mother gazed intently at her child. ‘Ineffective and feeble!’ Echoed within the woman’s mind.

“Ignore their words! I know what the truth is!” The woman manipulated her daughter once more.

“I can’t even get near them. I’ll be kicked out whereve
