Chapter 1

Livia’s eyes suddenly opened wide. In an instant, her hand instinctively reached for her chest as the memory of what had transpired flooded her mind. The woman’s breath came in heavy gasps, as though she had been running.

As she glanced around, her eyes fell upon the sight of her own form, peacefully resting upon the bed. Relief washed over Livia.

She murmured, “It was merely a nightmare,” before rising to her feet. “George?” she called out, her voice filled with anticipation and a hint of uncertainty.

She uttered her husband's name, but there was no response, causing her brows to furrow in concern. She softly murmured to herself, noticing the tranquil atmosphere that enveloped her house as she embarked on a quest to locate her beloved husband.

The house is empty, save for her presence. Instead of burdening her mind with perplexing thoughts, she readied herself in the bathroom.

Just as she was preparing to brush her teeth, a sudden gasp escaped from her lips. As she gazed upon her reflection, she couldn’t help but notice how much younger she appeared. It was as if she had traveled back in time, perhaps to her twenty-fifth year of life.

Her face displayed a perplexed look. As she leisurely wandered her gaze around her house once more, her eyes grew wider. “Oh, my goodness!” She spoke softly.

She couldn’t help but exclaim inside her head, ‘This is my apartment before marrying George!’ Livia’s face grew pale as she swiftly made her way to where her phone was located.

Her heart skipped a beat as she laid eyes on the familiar device in front of her. It was none other than her old phone.

With a gentle touch, she cautiously unlocked the phone, and her eyes fell upon the date. Once again, her eyes widened, as if in a never-ending cycle of surprise. “Today is March 24, 2021! Oh’ God!” Once more, she exclaimed.

Livia is sure that it was March 25, 2023, when she closed her eyes. As her heart raced and her thoughts vanished, she realized the truth of the situation. She was unable to fathom the events unfolding in her own life.

Seated upon the bed, she pondered with great intensity, her mind consumed by uncertainty and unsure of the path to take. ‘Is my nightmare real? Then why am I here? I’m supposed to be dead!’ She murmured to herself.

No matter how she contorted herself, she was aware that the events unfolding were undeniably genuine. She repeatedly pinched her cheeks and even her tummy. Indeed, this is undeniably real. She muttered, “I am not dreaming.”

Livia couldn’t believe what was happening. She found herself slapping herself a few times, as if trying to wake up from a dream. The events leading up to this moment felt like a miracle, something she never thought would happen. It all seemed too incredible to be true, yet it was etched in her mind. She took many breaths in and out while savoring the chance that was presented to her.

Livia’s eyes fluttered open, instantly drawn to the figure standing before her.

Clad in pristine white attire, the person’s face remained obscured by the blinding glow emanating from behind. “I apologize for causing such distress in your life, Livia,” the man uttered, his voice bringing solace to Livia’s very being.

In that moment, a sudden realization dawned on her. Standing before her was the individual who held the power to shape her existence.

As her gaze wandered, she couldn’t help but feel as though she had been transported to a realm of pure bliss. The entire area was filled with pristine white.

“Are you, God? Am I really dead?” With a nervous stutter, she inquired, her teeth gently sinking into her lower lip.

The person shake his head. As she lowers herself onto the seat, her knees surrender to the strain. “How can I restore my pride and glory now that I am no longer alive?” She pondered the question in her own mind.

Livia was completely unaware of her heart condition. Her hand tightened into a fist. And now, what shall we do? Is she prepared to go this far?

The multitude of hardships she had endured. She endured a multitude of dreadful experiences with those in her vicinity. In her quest for justice, how might she find solace?

Will her hardship be in vain? Tears streamed down Livia’s face as she gazed at the person in charge.

“Am I really going to die this way? Without justice? Is there a way to address the wrongdoings without resorting to punishment?” She couldn’t resist posing this question.

All Livia desired was a life filled with joy and contentment. What causes everything to go awry? The individual remained silent, causing her to lower her head in embarrassment. Who does she think she is, daring to pose such a query to a heavenly being? She is merely a mortal being.

“My sincerest apologies, Livia Lumiere, for the mistake that I have made.” The divine creature explained everything to her, acknowledging that what happened was their mistake.

The divine being wanted to confirm if she desired to reconcile or if she wished to end her life.

Livia’s eyes grew wide as she took in what she had just heard. “What do you mean by saying it’s your mistake?” The woman asked.

Livia caught sight of the divine creature and let out a sigh. “My dear, I must confess that your untimely demise was indeed a result of my own regrettable error. My intention was never to allow your demise. I apologize for what I did.” The divine person who was diving explained, “The higher ups were making up for their mistake and offering you an opportunity to shape your life as you have always desired.”

When Livia heard what she did, her mouth opened in surprise. Her disbelief washes over her as she takes in the words she is hearing. She didn’t instantly respond to his statement.

After a brief moment of silence, she pondered and found that her fear had vanished. The creature before her allowed her the space and time to contemplate her decision, as if it wanted her to carefully consider her options.

However, Livia’s sole focus remains on seeking retribution and returning to the place that holds the key to the justice she craves. Her unwavering determination is fueled by a burning desire to hold accountable those responsible for inflicting torment upon her.

The woman looked at the divine person with determination. She stood in front of him properly. The divine person saw her determination and her eyes, even though they didn’t hear what her answer was. The diving person smiled at her.

“I wanted to return. Let me go back, please. All I desired was to experience pure happiness. I want to make them pay. Allow me,” Livia responded with honesty.

The voice of the divine person boomed, saying, “As you wish, my dear Livia.” He lifted his hands high and waved them.

Livia closed her eyes as a gentle light spread throughout her surroundings. She was left in a state of uncertainty, unaware of what would transpire in the moments to come. However, a sensation overcame her as her physical form descended once more.

Livia had a remarkable memory, retaining every detail. She couldn’t believe she had been given the opportunity to rectify everything.

As tears streamed down her face, she instinctively brought her hand to her mouth, seeking solace in the act of covering it.

“Thank you!” Livia cried out.

Without hesitation, Livia swiftly reached for a pen and a piece of paper. Her desire was to retain in her memory every unfortunate event that befell her, as well as the individuals who subjected her to oppression. Her desire was to inflict upon them a pain that was twice as intense.

“Liv, make sure you remember everything. You must write down everyone who made you look foolish, and each one must be documented with corresponding actions,” Livia whispered to herself.

She recalls the unfortunate events that befell her, along with the precise dates on which they transpired.

With her sharp memory and brilliant mind, she was able to recall every detail effortlessly.

Livia diligently composed three pages filled with the names of various individuals and their corresponding accomplishments.

At the top of her lists, she had George and Letty, occupying the first and second positions, respectively. How could she possibly forget those two individuals who bestowed upon her the greatest weight and responsibility?

Her desire is for them to experience gradual and prolonged agony. A mere one or two punishments bestowed upon them do not suffice. Once more, the woman’s gaze fixated on the calendar before her. With her return now complete, she refuses to let anyone make her look foolish once more. She expresses gratitude for returning precisely two years ago to the very place where it all began.

Livia swiftly indulged in a refreshing bath, promptly swapping her attire for her professional office uniform. Instead of donning a pair of eyeglasses, she opted to carefully insert her finest contact lens. Her hair remained untied as she chose to let it cascade freely.

The woman, in addition, chose not to wear any make-up, as Letty had previously suggested, in order to avoid resembling a clown.

You just realized that girl used you to make herself look good in the eyes of others?” Livia found herself asking mockingly.

She experienced a certain level of disappointment with her previous actions.

In front of the mirror, she gently tapped her cheeks three times, preparing herself for what was to come. Livia took a deep breath and let it out.

She managed to persuade herself and boost her self-confidence. Livia repeatedly reassures herself that there is nothing to fear. Those people are trash, and she must discard them.

“Livia, please make sure you’re not being a pushover this time. You’ve been given another opportunity—your second chance. Never, under any circumstances, should you squander it. You’ve died and come back to life. Allow them to reap what they have sown. Let them feel how stupid they are if they were in your shoes.”
