Chapter 6

Last night, Michelle came to William without Laura's knowledge. Wearing a sexy outfit, Michelle teased the drunk William. Unfortunately, William was reluctant, even asking Michelle to stay away from him. 

"Stay away from me, Michelle. You're just like that bitch!" William said half-consciously, although he could still control himself. 

"I'm not like Laura, Will. Why are you treating me like this? I came to you out of concern. Look, for the sake of that ignorant little sister, you got drunk like this." 

William laughed sadly. He stood up from his seat, looking at Michelle intimidatingly. 

"Laura is your little sister. I wonder why you and even your parents don't like her. She's different from you; maybe you're not siblings? Who knows?"

William said what was on his mind: a question that had been haunting him since he started dating Michelle. Michelle's parents treated their two daughters very differently; however, William was reluctant to ask or even find out at the time. Now, when he was drunk, the thought drifted back into his mind, especially when he heard Michelle's dislike for Laura. 

"I won't divorce her. I'll let her be confined to this marriage! You are out of place!" William said with a smile, both hands spread out as if satisfied with Michelle's desperation.

Michelle did not accept William's decision. "You're drunk, William!"  

William didn't care and chose to walk away from Michelle, enter his room, lie down, and close his eyes.  

"Things will not go the way you want, William. You must be mine! Laura, my little sister, must leave here immediately! You must divorce Laura quickly. I want William to remain mine!"

William woke up from his sleep; his head felt heavy. The burly man walked into the bathroom. After cleaning himself up for a while, William was surprised to see Michelle in his room, even wearing quite revealing clothes.  

"Why the surprise? I slept with you last night," Michelle said.  

Michelle walked up to William, holding his burly body gently.  

"I'm sad that you forgot our love, Will. I, on the other hand, have always thought of you."

William dismissed Michelle's hand from his body. "Two years is not a short time. Feelings can change quickly."  

"So it's true, you don't love me and love Laura? She's worse than me! Why don't you come back to me?!"  

"Whether it's good or bad is my view, not yours, Michelle. Stop meddling in my business with Laura," William hissed, annoyed that Michelle was always provoking him to hate Laura.  

William put on his office shirt. He did not want to linger with Michelle. For him, right now, the most important thing was to find out who exactly the man with Laura was. Is it true that Laura is pregnant?  

William started to think clearly, still wanting to trust Laura because there might be someone who wants to make him part ways with Laura. Everything feels too coincidental since Michelle's return.

The man hurried off to the company. But before stepping out, William looked at Laura's tightly closed bedroom door. The handsome CEO had no idea that Laura had been gone since the morning. 

"You'll never find her again, William," Michelle muttered, looking at William from a distance. Once at the company, William was not focused on his work. His mind was still on a string of thoughts about Laura, getting pregnant, and cheating. 

The secretary came and asked him for a signature, but he didn't check it first, making the secretary smile. The secretary then gave the document to the woman waiting outside the room.

 "Good job," she said, handing the secretary a thick envelope.

 On the other hand, William banged his desk loudly after learning the news that Laura had left the house.

 "WHAT! Laura left?" William hung up the phone from the person assigned to watch Laura. However, the man received some shocking news.

"You bastard! Where did that bitch go? Does she really want to break up with me? Who's the guy she's with? Is he better than me?!"

William was still unwilling to let Laura leave, even though he had asked her to leave him. However, it was only because of the anger that consumed him.

On the other hand, Michelle met with someone, asking him to send the document to Laura. The woman then recalled Laura's words that perhaps the child Laura was carrying was William's.

"I have an extra task for you. She's my sister. She's pregnant. I want you to make her lose the baby," she said, handing a photo to the person who was paid to harm Laura.

"Your sister?" The man wearing the hat smiled, as if this task were a rare thing. How could an older sister want to harm her younger brother?

 "Just do what I want. If necessary, you can take her life!"
