“What are you saying? Laura is pregnant right now? Then who is the father of her child, William?” Shofia was shocked to hear her daughter’s words. Could this be the reason for Laura’s reluctance to separate from William? she wondered.

“My little sister says she’s pregnant with William’s child. But I don’t believe it—William never wanted to sleep with her. Mum, I’ll do something so they never meet again. I hope you won’t interfere with my plan.”

“What are you going to do, Michelle? I don’t want you to get into trouble. Remember, you’re a famous model now. Don’t forget our previous plan. Don’t let everything fall apart—your only task is to become Mrs. Anderson!”

“I know. But for now, I have to make William hate Laura. It’s as if William already likes her. I can’t accept that!”

Michelle’s eyes burned with hatred toward Laura. Since childhood, she had never lost to her younger sister. Everything Michelle wanted, she always got. But this time was different—snatching William away from Laura wasn’t easy. The man she loved seemed to prefer Laura over her.

“Whatever happens, don’t let this fall apart. Then where is Laura right now?” Shofia asked curiously.

Michelle shrugged. She didn’t know exactly where Laura was and didn’t care—she had left everything to the man she hired. All that mattered was that the mission was accomplished.

“The most important thing right now is that William knows her status: a once-married woman, now pregnant without a husband. Unfortunately, I can’t spread this to everyone. I still love William, and I don’t want to tarnish his image. Besides, I don’t want others to know Laura was once William Anderson’s wife. She’s just a lucky woman who replaced me for a moment.”

Shofia shook her head. Michelle had truly become obsessed—so cunning, perhaps an inherited trait.

Meanwhile, William rushed home, looking for Laura. At first, he thought she had only gone out for a while. But when he entered her room, all her belongings were gone.

“She really ran away from me! Laura, you bitch—it seems you prefer your bastard son to me!” William roared.

His anger consumed him. Never had he imagined Laura would truly run away—even though he had been the one to tell her to leave.

William checked the CCTV footage in the house. There, he saw the confrontation between Michelle and Laura, followed by Laura’s departure.

With rage, he slammed everything on his desk. The household staff didn’t dare approach, afraid of becoming the target of their master’s fury. William immediately ordered someone to search every corner of the city for Laura. He wanted her back—pregnant or not. To him, Laura was still the woman who had faithfully served him.

“Sorry, sir. Miss Michelle insists on seeing you,” one servant stammered nervously, terrified of William’s anger.

They had already been warned that no one, especially Michelle, should disturb him.

“Throw her out! Laura’s departure must have something to do with that woman!” William roared. He now despised Michelle’s existence. Ever since her return, everything had fallen apart—and it was likely her actions that had driven Laura away.

Only now did William realize how much he needed Laura. He had thought he still loved Michelle, but that was no longer true. His feelings had shifted. Laura had replaced Michelle in his heart, though doubt still lingered. Even so, William wanted Laura to stay by his side, just as she had for the past two years.

Elsewhere, Laura had just received divorce papers. She smiled bitterly.

“In the end, good fortune has never been on my side.”

That night, the woman walked aimlessly through the streets, hoping to calm her troubled mind.

But she didn’t realize someone was watching her. A man in a black jacket and hat trailed behind, his hand gripping a knife hidden in his pocket. Step by step, he closed the distance, ready to stab her in the stomach.

“You…!”

This time, William took Laura to a special place — the gift he had promised her the night before. He brought her to a breathtaking location, surrounded by a vast flower garden and wide green meadows that created a serene and peaceful atmosphere. Not far from there stood a luxurious resort hotel with a stunning view, and next to it, a private villa dedicated entirely to Laura, a place for her to stay whenever she wished to visit.Laura was overjoyed — not because of the luxurious resort, but because of the beautiful garden and the peaceful meadow. It was a dream come true for her: to enjoy a calm and quiet place surrounded by nature. She couldn’t believe William had prepared all of this for her.“You prepared all of this just for me?” asked Laura in disbelief.“Yes,” William replied. “Because I remember you once said that all you wanted was to live peacefully, without any more problems. So I thought of creating this place. This resort is under your name, and I worked together with Mark

Several months passed, and now Cyrus and Celeste were five months old. They were growing up so adorably that anyone who saw them couldn’t help but smile. Even William started coming home early more often just to spend time with his little family.Maria and Mark came to visit them, as when Cyrus and Celeste were born, they hadn’t had the chance to give gifts yet — especially since William and Laura’s children turned out to be twins, a boy and a girl.“Did you make these specially?” Laura asked in disbelief when she saw the gifts given by Mark and Maria.“Yes, because their presence is also a blessing for us,” exclaimed Maria, making Laura and William emotional — and even Elara, who was watching them. Two necklaces engraved with their children’s names, Cyrus and Celeste, made of diamonds and white gold, looked very beautiful. Laura and William hadn’t expected them to give such a precious gift.“Isn’t this too much, honey?” Laura asked William, because of course they didn’t spend a small

Now they were gathered in a room; the manager and the owner of the jewelry store had arrived and already knew what had happened in their store. Based on Maria and Mark’s explanation, as well as the store’s CCTV footage, it was very clear that Cruella was at fault for discriminating against a customer.“How could you let this woman work as a shop assistant? This is truly unacceptable,” Mark said to the shop owner.William and Laura did not interfere, knowing that Mark would be able to handle the situation—especially since it directly involved his wife. Laura only hoped they would be fair in their decision regarding Cruella.Meanwhile, Cruella could only bow her head in defeat, for there was nothing she could do. Mark and William were people she couldn’t possibly go against.
