Michelle smiled, satisfied with what she had achieved. The beautiful model looked at the mansion she believed she would soon be living in.

“Laura, my dear little sister, you will never win against me. With the evidence I have now, William will be even more convinced that you are not a woman who can uphold her dignity as a wife. I wouldn’t have done this if William hadn’t been hesitant to separate from you. The status of Mrs. Anderson is rightfully mine, not yours, Laura.”

Michelle had obtained a photo of Laura with a man about to enter a hotel. That made her even happier, because the evidence seemed strong enough to convince William to separate from Laura immediately.

William growled angrily after seeing the photo that someone had sent him. He threw his phone in frustration. How could he be this furious?

His mind was in turmoil, torn between emotions: was it love, unwillingness to accept Laura’s betrayal, or the painful realization that she no longer cared for him after two years of living together?

Was William expecting more from Laura?

He didn’t want to feel that way. He hated the idea of letting her go. But Laura seemed ready to let him go without hesitation.

“Is it my fault for always ignoring her during the marriage? I never thought she would go this far. Laura, you’re really too much! You bitch, you’re no different from the wild women out there!” William shouted in his thoughts.

William retreated into the study and poured himself a drink, as if drowning his anger in alcohol. Meanwhile, Laura stood at the bedroom window, reflecting on his cruel words.

“Will he believe me if I tell him the truth? I don’t think so. Just by looking at the pregnancy certificate, he already believes I spent the night with another man.”

Laura let out a bitter laugh, cursing her never-ending misfortune. The beautiful woman walked toward the wardrobe, pulled out a suitcase, and began packing her clothes.

“We’ll go if that’s what he wants.”

The next day, Laura wanted to check on William before leaving. But what she saw shattered her completely—Michelle stepping out of William’s room wearing nightwear. That sight convinced Laura even more that she needed to leave immediately.

“My dear little sister, I didn’t realize you could stoop so low! That innocent face of yours is the complete opposite of your behavior,” Michelle sneered.

Laura smiled at her sister, unafraid. “This child is William’s. Sooner or later, he’ll find out. Do you still think you’re winning this time?”

Michelle slapped Laura!

She couldn’t believe it—she refused to accept that her younger sister’s words might be true.

“Do you think I’ll believe you? Even if what you say is true, I’m certain William will never acknowledge you or trust you. Just get the hell out of here, Laura! William will always be mine. As for the divorce papers, don’t worry—William has already prepared them.”

Laura turned around, picked up her suitcase, and walked away. She had already made her decision—not to surrender to her sister, but to protect herself and her unborn child.

She knew William would never believe her. And she had no evidence to prove that she wasn’t who Michelle claimed her to be.

As for Michelle, after Laura’s departure, she smiled triumphantly, even though she hadn’t truly won William over. She remembered last night, when William—half-conscious from drinking—had muttered that he would never divorce Laura.

Michelle was furious that, even drunk, William refused to touch her.

“You should go now, Laura, and disappear from William’s life!” she spat.

Nothing bad will happen to him! Don’t lie to me, Michelle!” Laura growled at Michelle, who wanted to keep making her feel guilty for everything that had happened.“I don’t care whether you believe it or not.
