I read somewhere that love is patient; love is kind. It doesn’t boast or brag. There is no arrogance in love; it’s never rude or self-absorbed. It doesn’t tally wrongs. It trusts, hopes, endures, and lasts an entire lifetime.

That’s why I promised Mirelle forever. On our wedding day, I kissed her and said I would never love another woman. If she died before me, then I wouldn’t find someone new. I told her I would live a lonely life until the day I could finally join her in heaven or wherever our souls go after death.

I think I remember that too but the wife shouldn’t have agreed. If she really did love him, she would of wanted him to move on and be happy with someone else and not be stuck grieving her for the rest of his long life since he’s still so young.

From what I remembered is that he told his wife that if she dies before him. He will not love anyone after her. Not the other way around.
