Mirelle’s eyes lock on Lily. I growl a warning at her, but it’s already too late.

And my hybrid ex of wife is fast, too fast.

Mirelle jumps at Lily, claws outstretched, and teeth bared. Lily sees her and shape-shifts into a wolf, yowling in pain when Mirelle’s teeth dig into her shoulder. Black magic surrounds them, and I growl while desperately trying to free myself from the dark tendrils keeping me stuck in place.

“Poor little pregnant werewolf. Have you come to die? Is life too hard living?” Mirelle taunts. She has changed back into her human form, naked in the moonlight as she presses her foot down onto Lily’s stomach.

Dark magic explodes, and Lily screams as she is forcefully transformed back into a human. Her cries are filled with agony. I want to save her, but I can’t make my body move. The tendrils are holding me back, digging into my fur as Mirelle bends down to smirk into Lily’s face.
