MICHIGAN

I went back to my old house, I wasn't a rich lady before I met Damien, so I'm sure living poor again won't be too hard.

I started cleaning up the dusty house. Every room I entered I could see the picture of myself and Clara. My late parents' pictures were also hung on the wall. I cried. My mother wouldn't want this to happen, for me and my sister to be apart, have I failed as a senior sister?

A particular picture caught my eyes, a picture of Clara when she graduated from college. I remember then I was still earning little and she needed to pay her tuition fee and she had to stay in her room crying until I came in.

“What's the matter, Clara , why are you crying?” I asked immediately sitting next to her.

“Don’t worry about it Michigan, I don't want to bother you, you've been doing a lot for me,” she said, still sobbing.

“Come on Clara, you're my little sister and also my responsibility, it's my duty to help you” I caressed her hair.
