MICHIGAN

Celia's smile widened. "I'm glad to hear that. I'd like to offer you the position, and I think you'll be a valuable asset to our company. When would you be able to start?"

"I could start as soon as next week, if that works for you," I said, trying to hide my excitement. Celia nodded.

"That's perfect. We'll get you set up with all the necessary paperwork and get you started on training. Welcome to the team!" she said, extending her hand again. I shook it, feeling a rush of happiness and relief.

I stepped outside the office building, feeling a sense of euphoria. I've done it! I'd gotten the job! I took a deep breath of the fresh air and pulled out my phone. I dialed Armando's number, my fingers trembling with excitement.

"Hello?" Armando's voice sounded tinny through the phone.

"Armando!" I exclaimed, unable to contain my joy. "I got the job! I'm so excited!"

There was a pause on the other end of the line, and then Armando let out a whoop of joy. "That's amazing, I'm so proud
