Chapter 4: “This Alice...will definitely come back and drag them to hell!”

Alice tried to pull her hair away from the man, she wanted to come and hug her mother right away. But the man caught her or pressed her hands behind her back easily, not giving her a chance to move forward.

“It was so touching… fuh fuh fuh. But two of you can stop here. You should complete your mission before I change my mind. My former Marquise.”

Then she ordered her henchman to put down a piece of paper and an ink pen. Tears kept flowing so that Alice couldn't see clearly what paper it was. She could only see her mother's boneless fingers holding the pen with difficulty and writing down something like a signature.

As soon as she stopped writing, the noble-looking woman bent down and grabbed the paper. Seeing the line of crooked signatures, her heart trembled with joy.

“Ah ha ha. Confirmation of annulment of Alice Rothnors inheritance. Signed by The Marquise of Rothnor - Irene Rothnor. A ha ha good! It’s very good! Ha ha ha ha!!!”

Alice was surprised to hear what the woman has read.

The girl with long black hair also exclaimed with joy:

“So I'm officially replacing her from now on, aren't I? You're the lady, and I'll be the only noble lady of House Rothnor, it's all ours now! Ha ha ha!!!”

What the heck? They had come all the way here, tormenting her mother to force her once more to confirm her complete abandonment of all ties to House Rothnor?

“You... The evil! The monsters!! You are not human!! How can you be so greedy like that?!”

The noble woman gritted her teeth in satisfaction, looking at Alice with disdain.

“What else? That year, if your mother would accept me and my daughter, give us a chance to live in the mansion, wouldn't it be so bad now? I want to steal everything from your mother and you! Everything belongs to me! It's all mine now! Ha ha ha!!!”

Alice sucked in breaths of air with difficulty. Her throat was so tight that she couldn't make any sound. Her chest felt like someone was punching it mercilessly.

She waved the piece of paper in front of Alice, with a satisfied smile on her face.

That man was crazy. This woman and her daughter were crazy too. Why could money turn the people who were previously gentle and simple to become so cruel and depraved like this??

The satisfied woman folded the paper, tucked it into her long gown, and walked away. Before leaving, she added a few more sentences that completely dumbfounded Alice:

“Let's send her away gently! As for her... a small reward for you. When you're done, clean it up. My little daughter, let's hurry back to our mansion.”

“Obediently, my honorable lady.”

The ferocious-looking men with perverted expressions approached Alice. Two pulled her to her feet, and the other two walked towards her mother, who was lying motionless on the ground.

Alice struggled:

“Don't touch her! I can do whatever you guys want! Everything! Please forgive my mother!! Let her gooo!!”

One grabbed Alice's mother by the hair, tilted her neck back, the other pulled out a sharp knife.

“No no please! I beg you, please! Don’t do that... No... hu hu hu.”

Her lifeless eyes watched Alice was crying and then she smiled. The moment the blade cut through her neck, Alice saw her mother says:

“Alice, I’m sorry... I was unable to protect you...”

“NO...DON’-!!!!!!!”

Before she could finish her sentence, she saw a bright red blood flowing from her mother's place.

They... They did not give in to killing her mother...

Alice seemed to be really mad and struggling, she escaped from the other two men and ran to hug her mother.

Blood soaked the entire body of her dress quickly.

Her mother was dead... The whole mother was still warm, but there was no breath left, and she was lying motionless in her arms.

Her only loved one, her only hope, her only reason to keep trying to live... Her mother was killed by inhuman monsters.  

Alice curled up, she hugged her mother, who had stopped moving and cried.

“Don’t leave me... mom...”

“...”

“Answer me... You just need to move your finger... please?”

“...”

“Please wake up, open your eyes mom... No... I beg you...”

“...”

“Mom, we'll get out of here together. I will take you out of this hell. I beg you, stay with me. Please... mom...”

No matter how many times Alice called, how many words, how many painful pleas, only the coldness of the night enveloped her.

She cried out from the bottom of her lungs the most painful cries.

Then they laughed together.

As soon as they approached Alice again and caught her, she snatched the knife still stained with her mother's blood earlier from their hands. At this point, the pain gradually turned into a fire of anger that was burning Alice's heart. She was no longer calm enough to argument with them. Those beautiful golden eyes are now just wild eyes, full of sadness and despair. She growled every word in anger:

“Go back and tell those bastards. This Alice, even if she becomes a demon, will come back and drag them to hell!"

After saying that, Alice decisively slashed a slit in her neck, killing herself.

Alice died carrying extreme resentment towards those who harmed her mother. Her thin and pitiful body fell down, but here eyes were always wide open....
