LOGINAce
Revenge was the only reason I decided to return to the Blackthorn Pack. As we rode toward the territory, my mind kept reeling, dragging me back into the shadows of the past. I couldn't help but clench my fists tight against the leather horse reins, my knuckles turning white as the old fury burned a familiar hole in my chest. “I didn't do it!” I had cried back then, my small figure had stood trembling in the center of the pack’s judging hall. Mocking, cursing eyes glared down at me from every corner. Nobody was willing to believe me. My small frame couldn't help but shake under the weight of their hatred. “I saw him. He did it,” Draven had accused, stepping forward with a cool, calculated calm. “He never liked her, and that's why he did it.” I had clenched my fists in pure rage. He was older than me, stronger, and favored. Why is he doing this? I thought, the unfairness suffocating me. “Dad, I'm your son! Can't you just believe me?” I begged, tears blurring my vision, hoping for a shred of parental mercy. His answer shattered every piece of hope I had left. “You are my son, and that's exactly why I should kill you,” my father barked, his voice echoing off the stone walls. “Instead, you will be sent into exile.” “But Alpha, he is too young,” the Beta defended, stepping forward to protest. “I don't care. He deserves worse, and I'm being generous by letting him breathe,” my father commanded coldly. He leveled a harsh glare at the Beta. “Since you care so much about him, you will go into exile with him.” My father turned and stormed out of the hall, leaving his decree behind. I could never forget that exact moment, or the look on Draven’s face afterward. That cold smirk, those mocking eyes….. they were burned into my memory. Revenge had been the only thought in my head for the past ten years. I structured my plans day by day, waiting for my father's death to finally clear my path back to the pack. But who would have thought the old man would die so early? When we finally arrived at the Blackthorn Pack, I halted in front of the massive pack gates. Memories flashed through my mind in a chaotic blur, both the good and the bitter. As we walked our horses through the gates, every eye from every corner of the plaza locked onto us. On me, mostly. “The cursed son is back,” I heard them whisper, the hushed words rippling through the crowd. “He was exiled, and now that the Alpha is dead, he’s back to steal the throne.” “I heard he killed his blood brother, his stepmother, and his own mother.” I remembered when I was a boy leaving this pack for exile; those exact whispers had felt like silver knives stabbing through my heart. But now? Now, I didn't care. Let them whisper. “Alpha Ace, are you okay?” Ronan asked, his voice low and laced with worry as he rode beside me. “Yes, I'm okay,” I replied, keeping my eyes locked straight ahead. It didn't take long before we reached the steps of the packhouse. The fortress was exactly the same, showing little difference from when I was a child. But as I hopped down from my horse, a sudden, sharp scent cut through the mountain air, invading my senses. I stiffened instantly, every hair on my arms standing on end. Mate. My wolf roared in my head, pacing the cage of my mind. What? Internal panic flared through me. A mate was not part of the plan. I never wanted one, and I had always promised myself that if I ever found her, I would reject her instantly. But has my eyes locked onto her face, the cold walls of my resolve began to fracture. She looked ethereal, almost unreal. Her silver-white hair cascaded like silk around her shoulders, contrasting sharply against the pale skin that seemed to glow under the courtyard lights and when her small hand accidentally brushed against the jagged scar on my skin, a violent spark of electricity surged straight through my body. She scrambled back from me like a startled doe, and despite my cold heart, I found the panicked movement captivating. “Ace, and you...” I murmured, stepping closer and lifting her chin with my fingers. She was breathtaking, I couldn't deny it, but revenge was still the ultimate goal. “She's mute, Ace. And she's Draven's wife.” The all-too-familiar, vicious voice of Selena cut through the air, shattering the moment. Draven's wife?! The words tasted like poison. Draven, again, Why was he always taking what belonged to me? A dark, dangerous promise formed in my chest. I wouldn't just take my revenge anymore, I would take my mate, too. “Are you okay, My Lady Lyra? Let's go,” a petite maid whispered, quickly walking up to her. She gently guided Lyra away, but my eyes trailed after her small figure, tracking her until she disappeared completely behind the heavy wooden doors. “Long time no see,” Selena said, stepping into my line of sight to force my attention back to her. “True,” I replied, my voice dropping to a dangerous, flat tone. “Just so you know, that thing you were just touching is Draven's wife,” Selena scoffed, crossing her arms. “She's completely mute and wolfless. If I were you, I'd stay far away from her.” A dark realization washed over me. Oh, now I see, A display wife…. That was exactly what my mate was to him. Draven was using her rare, unreal beauty as a trophy to show off his power to the rest of the world. I had heard rumors of a silent, silver-haired beauty in the pack, but I had always dismissed them as an exaggeration but guess I was wrong. I stepped toward Selena, closing the distance so aggressively that she stumbled back a step. Bending down to her level, I pressed my mouth close to her ear. “I can smell your fear, Sister Selena,” I whispered, letting the dark purr of my wolf bleed into my words. “Are you scared the mute girl is going to take your place?” Selena scoffed, though her chest heaved up and down in a sudden fit of anger. “As if she could! Draven won't even look at her. She is for politics, and that's all.” She slammed her heel down, turning sharply to walk away. Ronan stared after her, still completely baffled by the encounter. “Alpha... the rumors about the lady were real?” “Yes, they are,” I said, a slow, dark smile spreading across my face. “Guess the rumors weren't lying. And honestly? I'm glad she's my mate.” “Mate?” Ronan panicked, his eyes widening as he lowered his voice. “Alpha, but she's Alpha Draven's wife!” “I know,” I replied coldly, turning toward the packhouse steps. “He’s just a husband for display. Nothing more. In this pack, a forced marriage means absolutely nothing to me.” “Alpha Ace, but…..” Ronan called out, scrambling to catch up as I swept past the doors. I needed to see my stepbrother. After all, he was the one who had called me back to this hellhole.Ace “You talk big for a weak nobody,” I growled at Draven, my voice dripping with contempt as I threw his heavy body clean across the dirt ring.I wanted to end this pathetic fight already, but Ronan had yet to enter my line of sight. So, I continued to toy with Draven, dragging out his humiliation. This was a small, satisfying revenge, a mere warmup for the real reckoning that would come later. The moment Ronan stepped back into the arena perimeter, I knew it was done. Without wasting another second, I delivered a brutal blow that knocked Draven out cold, and the referee instantly declared me the winner.I didn't waste a single moment basking in the glory. As the crowd erupted into a deafening roar of praises, I quickly made my way toward the back exits leading to my private chambers, casting a sharp look at Ronan and signaling for him to follow me immediately. We slipped into the quiet corridor, the heavy wooden door shutting out the noise of the arena.“I didn't see it, Alpha,” Ro
Lyra “My Lady, what were you doing outside in the dead of night? I was worried sick, but luckily Sir Ace brought you back,” Elin said, her fingers working gently as she combed through my hair.“Outside?” I asked, my brow furrowing in deep confusion. I hadn't been outside last night. In fact, I distinctly remembered falling asleep the moment I returned to my chambers. How could I have been awake and wandering around outside without knowing it? I thought, a cold knot forming in my stomach.“Seriously, my Lady, did you completely forget?” Elin moved back, looking down at me with a mixture of awe and concern. “You were fast asleep when Sir Ace carried you back in his arms. And you even had a nasty wound right on your neck.”“What happened?” A wave of sharp panic hit my chest. Was I really out there last night? I tried to reach into my mind, to grab onto any memory of the darkness, but I couldn't recall a single thing.Suddenly, Elin let out a sharp gasp, her hands trembling as she stared
Ace I couldn't sleep. I didn't know why, but I just found myself tossing and turning until, like an invisible pull, I felt an intense urge to go outside.Just as I opened my door, I caught sight of a figure walking quietly outside the castle.Isn't that Lyra? What was she doing outside at this hour? What if someone from another pack attacks her? The thought sent a jolt of panic through me, and I broke into a run toward the castle grounds. She stood perfectly still under the moonlight, her skin glowing softly beneath its light. It looked as though a strange type of power was resonating all around her. The sudden suspicion was confirmed the moment she snapped, “Stop.”The word tore through the air, and a heavy, undeniable wave of pure authority slammed into me. I felt it in my very bones; I was completely frozen. Every muscle in my body locked instantly, and even when I desperately tried to force my limbs to move, they refused to obey.“Lane, did you see that?” I mentally called out to
Lyra After giving me a look of deep disappointment, he turned and left the hall in anger. I knew down to my core that anybody in his position would be furious with me. Who wouldn't be? I half-expected him to never want to speak to me again.I forced myself to walk side-by-side with Draven, keeping pace as he laughed and talked with several Alphas from neighboring packs. Some faces I recognized from previous gatherings; others were completely foreign to me. Around us, the grand hall was bursting with life. Conversations echoed off the high ceilings and people danced without a care in the world, but inside, I was slowly dying. Why me? I kept asking myself, the question repeating like a cruel mantra all through the night. When I finally found a moment of freedom to escape back to my chambers, the first thing I did was sit down and quickly write a thank-you letter to Ace. I desperately wanted to write more, to somehow justify my actions and explain myself, but I knew deep down that there
Ace I watched as Lyra walked onto the podium with her maid by her side. Her eyes held a depth of sadness more profound than I could ever comprehend, and my hands clenched into tight fists at my sides. Her father must have done something to her.“A letter from Lady Lyra, to address the events at the forest perimeters today,” her maid announced to the crowded room.I locked my gaze onto Lyra. Her fingers were dug deep into the fabric of her gown, twisting it tightly as her petty maid opened the parchment and began to read.“I am deeply sorry for what happened during the she-wolf game today,” the maid projected, her voice ringing clearly through the hall. “And I am most especially sorry to Lady Selene. She may be a widow, but she is truly the most amazing woman in the world. She did not lie when she said I was trying to bewitch Sir Ace, anyone looking at the situation would think that. She was simply looking out for her brothers-in-law, Sir Ace and Alpha Draven. My husband has always be
Lyra I thought I would die. I thought it was my end... just when I had decided to blind them with my face, just when I had accepted the fact that I was born this way and nothing could change it. Just when I realized that people are the ones who use my beauty for their own interests, not me.I would die, I thought. But then, a massive black wolf with gray eyes knocked the other wolf out. His fur was jet-black, and he was twice the size of the beast that had been about to attack me.My hands were still trembling when the wolf shifted back into Ace. As he approached me, my eyes wandered down his naked body before I violently jerked my gaze away. It was my first time ever seeing a naked man, and my breath hitched completely, a fierce heat rushing straight to my face.In the distance, I heard someone’s voice shouting about bringing clothes and supplies.Ace again. It was Ace when I was attacked by the maid. It was Ace when everyone else was staring at me. It was Ace defending me from Drav
Lyra “Lyra!”Ace’s voice suddenly shattered the air, a booming, panicked shout that cut clean through the music filling the grand hall.I snapped my head around toward the sound, and a maid was charging directly toward me, slicing through the crowded room. Her eyes were wide, frantic with malice,
Ace After Alpha Kael excused Lyra, I let out a low sigh. I couldn't shake the nagging feeling that something was deeply wrong. The mate bond wasn't overwhelmingly strong yet, but it certainly wasn't weak, either. It was a strange and it felt as though I could catch fleeting whispers of the emotio
Lyra Alpha Ace catching me before I hit the stone floor was the only lucky thing that had happened to me today. But in the end, nobody in this place really cared about me. My father only cared about using me to make himself shine. The heavy air in the grand hall felt thick and unbreathable, suffoc
Ace “Hahaha! My beloved brother, Ace!” Draven’s voice boomed through the council hall the moment I walked through the heavy doors. He rushed toward me, throwing his arms around me in a mockery of a brotherly hug. But before he pulled away, his grip tightened, and he whispered venomously into my e
