Chapter 3: No Wolf?

'W-what's going on?' Princess Hana thought to herself while looking at her two hands, disbelief were written on her face. 'I haven't awaken my wolf?'

“Why is she still in her human form?”

“Something's not right, how come there's no changes in her?”

“Could it be that princess Hana is wolf less?”

While princess Hana was deep in thought, her father's subjects started asking each other, making her anxious and afraid.

“I think the Silver Moon Pack's princess is wolf less” An Alpha from a different pack commented in a low voice.

Although he said it like that, werewolves have strong hearing ability and were able to hear it loud and clear. The silver moon pack's beta, delta, and even the elders frowned. Having a wolf less princess is unacceptable, her existence will only ruin the pack's reputation.

On the altar, princess Hana was trembling uncontrollably as everyone was looking at her with different eyes from before. While she was panic stricken, a huge figure of a wolf covered her, she couldn't help but feel safe and guarded.

“Roar!”

The wolf roared loudly, its voice carrying a hint of dissatisfaction and anger. He menacingly stared at everyone before opening his mouth with great authority.

“Silence!”

Everyone quieted down, the wolf in front of them made them pressured. Some of the weak wolf even succumbed and weakly lied down on the ground, unable to withstand the pressure.

“Alpha Broderick—” a big wolf spoke and wanted to say something but stop. Alpha Broderick was staring at him coldly, his fur stood on its end frightened by Alpha Broderick's glare. However, he can't just back down as he was an Alpha, it would be embarrassing if he do that.

“Alpha of the Meta...” Alpha Broderick muttered before looking at everyone. “the celebration is over, all of you can leave now”

No one spoke again after Alpha Broderick said those words and could only left. One after the other, they left the place with dissatisfaction on their faces. All of them want to know the truth if princess Hana was truly wolf less or not.

When the crowd started dissipating, only dozen of people were left in the place. They are the high ranking werewolf of the silver moon pack. All of them already reverted to their human form while looking at the huge wolf standing mightily above the altar.

“D-dad.. I.. I'm sorry.. I don't want to disappoint you and I really wish to awaken my wolf. I don't know what gone wrong, I don't know why I wasn't able to awaken it. I'm so sorry” Princess Hana explained as tears started falling down her beautiful face.

Luna Dianne went towards her direction and hugged her tight. Alpha Broderick also reverted back to his human form. He look at his daughter in sympathy before saying. “It's not your fault. And even if you’re wolf less, you'll always be our beloved daughter”

After saying those words, he went to her and gently caresses her hair. He was in pain, the only daughter he had was wolf less. He couldn’t help but wish that he could transfer his wolf to her rather than seeing her crying like this.

“Alpha Broderick, if your daughter is wolf less, she need to leave the pack!”

“I agree. Her existence will only bring us misfortune and shame!”

“All of you shut up!” Alpha Broderick shouted angrily, glaring at everyone present. His daughter was having a hard time accepting the fact that she was wolf less and now, they are asking her to be banished from the pack. It was an insult to him, the Alpha and Father of Princess Hana.

“Alpha Broderick, don't forget the ancestral verdict that was passed down from generation to generation” an old man spoke staring fixedly at Alpha Broderick. He was none other than Elder Justin, a retired Alpha due to old age.

Alpha Broderick frowned hearing Elder Justin's word, it was true that their pack carried an ancestral verdict about banishment of the wolf less. Everyone who turned 18 and wasn't able to awaken their wolf must be banished from the pack or it may lead to the pack's downfall.

Since the time he ascended the throne and become the Alpha, a case of being wolf less never happened. Today is his first time encountering such situation, moreover, it was her daughter that was at stake.

How could he? The father, banished her from the pack? Alpha Broderick gritted his teeth, determination flickering in his eyes.

“Beta, Delta, and Elders! I, your Alpha, the ruling leader of the Silver Moon Pack hereby declare! That ancestral verdict will be of no concern from today onwards!” Alpha Broderick declared which caught everyone off guard, leaving them to stare with wide eyes.

“Alpha! Don't be swayed by what you're feeling right now! That's the ancestral verdict!” Elder Justin exclaimed in a hurry.

“I am your Alpha! Do you dare disobey my order?”

“N-no b-but..” Elder Justin muttered stuttering, when he was the alpha in his time. All the wolf less 18 years old was banished from their pack because it was the ancestral verdict and he believe in it.

But now, Alpha Broderick had overthrown that ancestral verdict without hesitation like it was nothing really made him mad. He even banished his godson because he was wolf less after turning 18, however Alpha Broderick did different.

He was jealous! Jealous that Alpha Broderick was courageous enough to disregard the verdict that he wasn't able to do in the past. Suddenly, he felt a hand patting him from behind. Turning around, he saw that it was Beta Jack who was shaking his head.

Elder Justin know what he means, with a sigh, he look at Alpha Broderick's direction one last time before leaving. He had a sour expression on his face. What Alpha Broderick did today were different from how he handled the problem in the past.

“We'll also be taking our leave Alpha” Beta Jack respectfully said but Alpha Broderick could feel a hint of dissatisfaction in his voice.

Alpha Broderick nodded his head. “I'm sorry if my decision today dissatisfied all of you, but she's my daughter. No matter what others may say, I'll stand firm on my decision even if it means death”.
