Chapter 6: Lily and the Kite

Princess Hana blanked for a moment as blood slipped out her mouth. She can't believe it, Cindy... Her best friend just slapped her? This is totally confusing.

She look at her in the eyes before she saw her open her mouth.

“How dare you ignore me! A wolf less princess like you don't deserve respect!” She shouted at her as anger was visible in her face. Since they were young, Cindy always look up to her, a princess with gorgeous appearance.

She was jealous, how can the moon goddess be so unfair? Why does all the good things was given to the princess? But now she felt elated, princess Hana was wolf less, she could finally feel above her.

Cindy raise her hand again to slap princess Hana for the second time only for someone to hold her hand. She angrily turn to see who it was only to find out that it was her dad, Beta Jack.

“What do you think you are doing?!” Beta Jack asked in rage staring coldly at his daughter.

Cindy got petrified like a statue unmoving, she was scared as it was her first time seeing her dad acting like this to her.

Beta Jack saw her daughter not speaking and got furious. Just as he wanted to punish her, princess Hana who was watching from the side spoke.

“Beta Jack stop! She's still your daughter” She said before wiping the blood off her mouth.

Beta Jack stopped, glaring at his daughter before looking at Princess Hana apologetically and said. “I'm sorry about what my daughter just did. She's ignorant and know nothing, please forgive her and forget about what happened today”

Sincerely apologize by Beta Jack, princess Hana look at him before looking at Cindy. She sighed before responding, “It's fine. Please discipline her from now on”

“I will.. I will..” Beta Jack nodded his head in understanding before bringing her daughter away. Martha and Dave also left afterwards as they were left in an awkward position.

“Was the moon goddess forsaking me?” Princess Hana muttered before leaving.

Walking her way home, she saw lots of people ranging from children to adults. She watched them with total calmness but when everyone saw her, they started distancing themselves from her.

She found it weird but didn't think much deeper. Suddenly, she heard a crying voice of a child. It was coming from an alleyway where a tall tree could be seen, she hastily went there to see what's going on.

Arriving at the place she saw a little girl crying hard while sat on the ground.

“Are you hurt little one?” She gently ask with a serene smile on her face.

The little girl look up as she stop crying when she saw how beautiful Princess Hana was, she couldn't help but feel comfortable. But then, as if she remembered something, her face started becoming sad and was about to cry again.

“Can you tell me why you're crying?” Princess hana got curious why such a lovely girl has that sad expression on her face.

The girl pointed her hand up to the tree. In there, a kite was stuck on the branch. Princess Hana finally got the gist of why the girl was crying, she smile at her before comforting that she'll get the kite.

Joy beamed on the little girl's face as she started climbing the tree. She hold on branch after branch, braving the tall tree just to get the kite for the little girl. While she was climbing up, a man and a woman appeared from the distance where she walked from moments ago.

When they saw the little girl, the both of them got a smile on their face as they hurriedly ran towards her. The little girl also saw them and started jumping in joy.

“Mama! Papa!” She exclaimed in great happiness.

“Oh you mischievous girl! You worried us too much” the woman loudly said before hugging the girl tight.

“She's fine, don't worry” the man next to him also muttered.

“Our daughter was lost and you still have that calm expression on your face? If you aren't careless and guarded her, she wouldn't have been lost! Look at her eyes they're wet! She must've been crying non stop” the mother of the girl ranted in anger.

“Alright.. alright.. it's my fault. I won't be careless again” the man replied before caressing the little girl's hair.

“We have to go now” the man added before holding the little girl's palm to leave.

“No.. no.. we can't just go yet. A beautiful sister is going to get my kite” the little girl said as she stubbornly stayed where she was standing.

“A beautiful lady?” the woman muttered knitting her brows while looking at her husband next to her.

“Woah. Why are you looking at me like that?” the man asked frowning.

Crack!

A cracking sound was heard by the two as they both look up in the tree. In there, a girl could be seen holding a little branch of the tree while doing her best to take the kite off its branches.

“Hey little miss! The branch you're holding—” just before the man could finish his shout.

The Branch where Princess Hana's hand was holding got fractured. By the sudden release of force, she got herself unable to balance but still manage to grab the kite off from the branches.

But because her hand was holding it, she was unable to hold anything and started to fall. Her body hit several branches, she clearly feel the pain of contact making her tear up a little.

The man below, which was the father of the young girl hurried over to catch her from her fall. Just when her body was about to hit the ground, the man was able to catch her.

Her body was full of bruised, some blood even came out of the wound caused by the branches. Although she was in that state, she's still able to stay conscious and thanked the man who catched her.

She then walk staggeringly towards the young girl before giving her the kite that she protected using her body for it to not get damage. The little girl was happy that her kite was back and went to receive it.

“Lily stop! Don't get near her!” lily's mother shouted in alarm.
