Chapter 7: Cursed Princess

“Mom..? But why...?” Lily asked confuse by her mother's reaction. Princess Hana was also looking towards Lily's mother wondering why she's stopping her.

But she didn't reply to her daughter's question instead she grabbed her and started walking away. Her action made her daughter cry again as she wanted to get her kite.

Princess Hana also wanted to ran towards her but was weak to do so. Her body can't handle the pain, the man who catched her seconds ago also left not bothering to help her. Tears started pouring out her eyes, asking the moon goddess why this is happening to her.

All she wanted was to help, but why? Why are all of them so distant? Princess Hana's thought was fleeting as her consciousness started becoming vague. Before finally, she got unconscious and layed on the ground unmoving.

“What do you think you're doing just now? Are you mad?!” Beta Jack scolded staring angrily at his daughter.

“I.. I'm sorry.. I.. I..” Cindy spoke stuttering as tears slid down her eyes.

Seeing her daughter sobbing, Beta Jack couldn't help but sigh before speaking. “Cindy my daughter, listen... Although Princess Hana is wolf less, she's still the Princess.

“You acting like that will only put you on the edge of the sword. Alpha Broderick was very protective of her, if he knows about what you did, I don't know what will happen to you”

Cindy lessen her sobbing and look at her father in the eye and asked. “A-Aren't Alpha Broderick my uncle?”

“He is, but don't forget about supremacy, the strong one leads everyone” Beta Jack replied raising his head up in the sky, “Even if we're family, if one breaks the rule or commit something that's unforgivable, the Alpha will definitely punish her/him no matter what”

“But what about Princess Hana? She's a cursed princess am I right? Why isn't she banished from the pack already?!” Cindy ask again in frustration, she really wish for princess Hana to be banished.

“Shut up! She's your best friend and cousin, don't forget about that” Beta Jack shouted mad, he really don't know why his daughter was like this. She was different from what she was before.

“I-I'm sorry” Cindy spoke lowering her head as her eyes shined in hatred. Not towards her father but to Princess Hana. 'What's so special about you that even father chose to protect you and even scold me? I hate you!' she thought as her hand unconsciously clenched.

“Let's not talk about this, I'm only doing this for your own good” Beta Jack stated before leaving as he still needs to patrol the area.

Cindy gritted her teeth and also left.

“Ugh. My body aches too much” Princess Hana muttered as she woke up.

“Huh?” She muttered as she saw a familiar scene in front of her. The soft bed, nice decorated ceiling and furnitures. She look to her left and saw everything very clearly, it was her room!

“What am I doing here?” She asked herself dumbfounded.

“Ouch”

She exclaimed in pain as she tried to leave her bed, but her body was hurt internally. “This is sick!”

“Beta Jack, it has been a day and a half but my daughter was still unconscious. What should we do?” Princess Hana heard a familiar voice of a woman coming from outside of her room. A trace of panick could be found from her tone.

“Don't worry Luna, as what the doctor said, she'll wake up eventually when her body adjust with the pain she'd suffered” a strong male voice also replied which Princess Hana thought to be Beta Jack.

“But why is it taking too long? I'm dying just thinking about her situation, is there no other way? Luna Dianne asked Beta Jack worried.

“I know you're worried about your daughter but stay calm, she'll be fine don't worry. As we all know, she haven't awaken her wolf that's why her regeneration ability isn't the same as us” Beta Jack explained.

The door of Princess Hana's room opened as Beta Jack and Luna Dianne entered. When Luna Dianne saw the scene inside, she couldn't help but cry before running towards the bed.

Princess Hana was there sitting while blankly staring at them. 'She was finally awake!' was what's in the head of her mother as she immediately hugged her hard. “Why did you climb that tree for! You should take care of yourself and stop making me worried!”

Her mother emotionally said and she started sobbing, she was her only daughter and she doesn't want to lose her. Princess Hana know what her mother was feeling and so she stayed silent.

After some time, she whispered to her mother's ear and apologized for making her worried.

“It's fine.. just don't do that again ok?” Luna Dianne said reminding her daughter. As if she was hit by realization she asked, “Why did you climb that tree? Are you trying to commit suicide?”

Her mother's question shock Princess Hana before shaking her head furiously. “N-no.. why would I do something like that?”

“Don't deny.. I know you realise that everyone was distancing themselves from you” Luna Dianne sadly spoke before continuing. “Listen, there's a reason why they are doing that and our ancestors teaching was the core reason of it.

“It was already passed two century, a prophet of the silver moon pack gave a verdict that when a member of the pack turned 18 and was wolf less, they have to be banished from the pack.

“The reason she gave was that if a wolf less 18 years old stay in the pack and wasn't banished, the pack's downfall will be certain. That's why people believe those wolf less 18 years old as a cursed being”

Princess Hana stayed silent after hearing her mother's narration. Her face furrowed, thinking deeply about something.

“But you don't have to worry about that, it's already been more than two century, that prophecy must be ineffective now” Luna Dianne assured smiling happily at her daughter.

“By the way Mom, who brought me here?” Princess Hana ask curiously.
