Kayla’s POV
I kept a blank expression on my face as I hardened my heart to gain the courage to do what may be the toughest thing I have to do in my life. I was an Alpha who was used to taking harsh decisions all the time and I was known as being emotionless because of my actions. But within this short span of time that I spent with my mate, I had felt emotions like I had never known in my life. I had thought that I was incapable of emotions but I had felt happiness, contentment and even a glimpse of hope in the time I had spent with Zane and we hadn’t even spoken to each other yet. just a few minutes, I had felt like I was a normal girl with her man about to get her happily ever after. But now, it was time to face my reality. I was not a girl who was meant to be tied up with a mate because I had other purposes in my life. It was time to remind myself about that.
