Kwen's POV:

Mannnnn, when I tell you I'm over all the spooky shit, I mean that. We all pulled up to a large gate that was covered in vines and surrounded by trees and bushes. The gravel road crunched underneath the weight of the cars. I assume they have some way of seeing us because as soon as we stopped in front of the gate, it opened up. We were still inside the car, yet I heard the creaking of the door opening. We drove through. Either they don't care or this is how it supposed to look, but

  • I was never Human   Much

Kwen's POV: It was late morning when I finally woke up. Truthfully, I was awakened due to a knock coming from my door. I begrudgingly slid out of bed, and zombie walked to the door. Fucking Cersai and Regin are gonna get cussed the fuck out for this! Halo purred in my head. 'It hurts so good.' 'Speak for yourself, hoe.' I retorted. She snorted. 'I was.' Halo clapped back. I snickered. I keep forgetting we damn near the same person. My hand turned the handle, then stopped. I looked down. I was completely naked. I rolled my eyes. Oh, come on. I snatched the blanket off the bed, and rushed to the door. I opened it, and to my suprise, I see the king, himself. "Thank God I grabbed the blanket, otherwise, this would've been 10x more awkward." I said, being 100% serious and not serious at the same time. Again, the king's cheeks lit up in a fine shade of pink, looking away. "Pa-pardon me. I know it's rather rude to show up unannounced." I shrugged with a smile. "It's all good.

  • I was never Human   No more secrets(nasty incoming!!)

Kwen's POV: I saw where Cersai and I would be staying, but decided to take a small walk. I knew Cersai was upset with me, so I wanted to give him a bit of time to cool down. I roamed the massive halls. I passed by very few people, and those that I did, stared. It wasn't an uncomfortable stare, just noticeable. The castle was large. It was filled to the brim with things: artworks that covered the hall walls. Stautes and bust of famous figures of the past, and silver and bejeweled items that seemed too expensive to touch, let alone look at. This place was beautiful, physically. Even in all its beauty, I still felt a chill. Though the halls looked as if it should be bustling with life, it all just felt dead. Empty. The silence was loud. I came upon a portrait that I hadn't paid attention to before. It hung high on a wall and greeted each face as people had to pass by it everyday. It was a portrait of a beautiful woman. Her features were soft. Her eyes were the same light glacier blue th

  • I was never Human   Give them what they want

Seth's POV:I walked into the lower part of the castle, entering into the dungeons where our guards caught two men. They were hung up by their arms with silver chains around their wrist. "LET US GO!!""DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO WE ARE?!!"I heard the prisoners chant loudly from their sound proof cell. I made my way towards the noise."No, but please, do enlighten us."I said, coming into view of the two men. One whiff of them and I knew they were those disgusting wolves. Their heads snapped to me, faces filled with anger and defiance. They hung in the middle of a circle, surrounded by guards. I looked up at them, raising a brow. The two men looked a bit more rugged and unrefined. I thought maybe Alpha Brandon brought extra people to spy on the King, but now I'm not too sure what I've walked in on."You don't seem like Alpha Brandon's men. So, who's men are you and why are you following them?"I asked. One of the prisoners snorted at me."Who are you that we have to answer to?"I smirk

  • I was never Human   Use me

Kwen's POV:We were escorted into the Vampire castle and taken to meet the King in the audience chambers. On this trip, my grandparents stayed back so that my dad could have both his beta and gamma with him for protection. My auntie came as well, even Eve and her mate. We were escorted down a long hall. The floors were a shiny silver color, but I have no idea what material it was. Our feet stepped on a soft, deep burgundy colored rug that was the length of the hall. I walked hand and hand with Cersai. We stood to the left of my father while Daniel and Isabell stood to his right. At the end of the hall stood large double doors that went floor to ceiling. The door handles were large, silver, and decorative in some sort of design. Two men stood by the doors and immediately opened them to us. We were faced with the King's large desk that sat at the back of the room with different kinds of chairs sat in front of the deep brown mahogany desk. I watched as the king stood from his seat. A fa

  • I was never Human   To the finish line

Adona's POV: Present day... Underneath the light of the full moon, I stood beside the large fire pit that sat a few yards beyond my home. The woods fought to hide me away from the moon, but its light broke through to witness my power. The fire burned under my large cauldron. The wind howled, the breeze blowing through the fabric of my long dress, as my hair danced around me. I lifted my eyes to the sky, taking a deep breath in, and sighing out. "It's been a long time coming. I just know our ancestors are ready for our victory." I picked a few herbs from my pocket, dropping them into the boiling water. A midnight blue color slowly appeared, as I took the large stained stick and stirred. The heat of the water kept raising. I plucked three small vials from a sachel that hung from my hip and placed them into the pot. The words that called forth the powers that flowed through me, came rushing forward. My words came out as a whisper. As I continued the chant, the wind picked up all arou

  • I was never Human   Camouflage

Since the night I attacked Avadale to save Nic from a force bonding and marriage, we never saw her again. I was grateful for that. It took me a bit to come down from my rage, and when I finally did, I was glad I healed her before we left. I felt bad with how things ended between us, but she choose this. I've prayed that she would find peace, just far from us. I had to heal Nicholas that night, as well. She fed him so much of that potion, and the way it was crafted, it purposely dulled his senses and caused confusion. If it had been anyone else, they would've completely forgotten who they were. Knowing what I knew then, he survived because he was a powerful being, and she fed him so much of it because her magic was weaker than his. It's been a little over 4 years now. Nicholas and I tied the knot. My "pack" or how I choose to classify them, my family, accepted Nicholas and Nicoli into the fold. Nicoli still lives amongst the warlocks of his and his brother's coven. I ended up meeting s

  • I was never Human   None for me

I watched as Ava and Adona walked into their home. I've always hated being here. It never fails to feel as if I'm in enemy territory. I used to believe I was paranoid with them being witches and all, and the history of our people being against witches. Now, I truly believe my body picked up on some

We were escorted inside by guards. Again, I wasn't accustomed to being greeted so professionally. Cersai and the royal family, that was left at my father's pack, were greeted with the formalities used to greet them. My father and brother, along with my grandparents were greeted with the honorifics g

  • I was never Human   Messy

I could do nothing but stare at the lady. It unnerved me that my body reacted the way it did to her. It's never done that.'Relax, Kwen. I know her.''Listen here, Halo. You got a lot of shit going on with you and I don't like it.'I said into my subconscious as I spoke with Halo. She chuckled and
