Kwen's POV: It was late morning when I finally woke up. Truthfully, I was awakened due to a knock coming from my door. I begrudgingly slid out of bed, and zombie walked to the door. Fucking Cersai and Regin are gonna get cussed the fuck out for this! Halo purred in my head. 'It hurts so good.' 'Speak for yourself, hoe.' I retorted. She snorted. 'I was.' Halo clapped back. I snickered. I keep forgetting we damn near the same person. My hand turned the handle, then stopped. I looked down. I was completely naked. I rolled my eyes. Oh, come on. I snatched the blanket off the bed, and rushed to the door. I opened it, and to my suprise, I see the king, himself. "Thank God I grabbed the blanket, otherwise, this would've been 10x more awkward." I said, being 100% serious and not serious at the same time. Again, the king's cheeks lit up in a fine shade of pink, looking away. "Pa-pardon me. I know it's rather rude to show up unannounced." I shrugged with a smile. "It's all good.

Kwen's POV: I saw where Cersai and I would be staying, but decided to take a small walk. I knew Cersai was upset with me, so I wanted to give him a bit of time to cool down. I roamed the massive halls. I passed by very few people, and those that I did, stared. It wasn't an uncomfortable stare, just noticeable. The castle was large. It was filled to the brim with things: artworks that covered the hall walls. Stautes and bust of famous figures of the past, and silver and bejeweled items that seemed too expensive to touch, let alone look at. This place was beautiful, physically. Even in all its beauty, I still felt a chill. Though the halls looked as if it should be bustling with life, it all just felt dead. Empty. The silence was loud. I came upon a portrait that I hadn't paid attention to before. It hung high on a wall and greeted each face as people had to pass by it everyday. It was a portrait of a beautiful woman. Seth's POV:I walked into the lower part of the castle, entering into the dungeons where our guards caught two men. They were hung up by their arms with silver chains around their wrist. I thought maybe Alpha Brandon brought extra people to spy on the King, but now I'm not too sure what I've walked in on."You don't seem like Alpha Brandon's men. Kwen's POV:We were escorted into the Vampire castle and taken to meet the King in the audience chambers. On this trip, my grandparents stayed back so that my dad could have both his beta and gamma with him for protection. My auntie came as well, even Eve and her mate. We were escorted down a long hall. The floors were a shiny silver color, but I have no idea what material it was. Our feet stepped on a soft, deep burgundy colored rug that was the length of the hall. I walked hand and hand with Cersai. We stood to the left of my father while Daniel and Isabell stood to his right. At the end of the hall stood large double doors that went floor to ceiling. The door handles were large, silver, and decorative in some sort of design. Two men stood by the doors and immediately opened them to us.
