LOGINAUTHOR'S POVRiven pushed Cole into the sitting room. The poor boy staggered and unexpectedly fell to the floor, interrupting an ongoing conversation and getting the attention of those who were around — Caelen, all three brothers, Ana and finally Aldric. For a moment, the whole room stilled. Aldric's eyes instantly darkened upon seeing the bruises on Cole's knees. "My goodness," Ana muttered, eyeing Riven and as well pitying Cole's state. What had come over Riven? "Hold on...hold on," Lucien rushed up quickly, setting himself between a furious Riven and a scared Cole whose face was buried sideways. "What's happening? Riven, what the fuck is wrong with you? Are you drunk?? Why would you push him like that?" "Maybe you should ask him what he has done." Caius was already next to Cole, helping him stand up to his feet. But the truth was that Cole didn't feel safe near the brothers. They were probably this nice to him because they had not yet known what the real issue was.
AUTHOR'S POV "Yeah. I figured it out. He seems to be one of those half vampires who believe they are being treated unfairly by pure blood simply because we are not carrying their burden and responsibility and so he is somehow fighting for them? I don't know what he is doing." Caius added. "It doesn't matter why he is fighting us. That is not our issue." Dorian shook his head. "Instead, what we need to figure out is where his parents are, especially his mother. Who he let did this to him and what he allowed them to do. Remember, Ezra mentioned that this dude had no eyes for the first few seconds that they met so with that information, he is no ordinary vampire anymore and at this point, I don't think he is to be considered a vampire at all." Dorian educated them. "Also, we need to understand his obsession with Ezra and why he was stalking him in the first place. If he knows the other kids then maybe he can give us a list of their names." "But the problem is how can we get him
AUTHOR'S POVDorian removed his wrist watch as soon as he entered the room. Caius was standing by, with a pen and a notepad while observing Dave but as soon as Dorian had arrived, he stopped. "Has he said anything yet?" Dorian asked. "Nothing. I actually thought it was because his throat was dried so I offered him water. He refused to drink. I think he is just refusing to say a word intentionally." Dave had woken up a few hours ago and the information had already been passed around to the brothers. Lucien barged into the building. "I came here as fast as I could." He said in between his heavy breaths. "I didn't want to miss the show." "You'd help us with giving the show anyways." Caius said and threw him a hockey stick which he caught casually. He demonstrated a bit and licked his lips. He moved closer, squinting his eyes at Dave. "He doesn't look like he is awake though." Lucien pointed out and Dorian took a step forward. He grabbed the chin of the supposed unco
AUTHOR'S POV "Based on this diagnosis, the reason you have not been able to transform isn't because of natural late transformation. You have something that is no less than a poison to your system. It was likely added to your meals while growing up and it's meant to suppress and weaken your ability to transform." Jennie made an effort to explain what her news meant. The papers fell from Ezra's hands as coldness washed over his body from nowhere. For a few seconds, his sight turned weary and he became dizzy. Vera scoffed and stood up. "So you mean Caelen had been intentionally feeding him what was poisonous to his system all these years??" "Uhm, if he grew up with...uhm this Caelen and ate constantly with the latter then it is possible that Caelen had been poisoning him. We can easily draw our conclusion from that." "First, he is bonded to his sons and secondly, this? How despicable." Marco spat out. "What is he playing at?"Vera sighed heavily again. "Okay, so...uh
AUTHOR'S POV "What implant are you talking about, Jennie?" Vera moved closer to the woman. "He has an implant. I don't know what purpose it is for though." Jennie briefly glanced at Ezra's arm before looking at the machine. "It's nothing to worry about. It's just a tiny implant to prevent me from getting pregnant." Ezra said, appearing a bit nervous. Vera was stunned. "Prevent you from getting pregnant?" Vera repeated and changed positions slightly so she was now standing clearly in front of Ezra. The latter nodded. "Why would you get an implant for that? It's your nature to be pregnant and moreover, you don't have a mate yet, do you?" "He is bonded already. He has been claimed." Jennie interrupted, letting her eyes wander from Vera to Marco and back to Ezra. Vera's lips parted, unable to form any words quickly while Marco's countenance, on the other hand, fell. "Wasn't that obvious to you already? He smells different. Anyone could have sensed that alrea
EZRA'S POVThe next morning, I was already up at seven and had changed into my clothes of the day. I replied to a few messages from the quads who informed me they had caught the stalker and were waiting for him to wake up. I smiled when I saw that. I knew they could do it and to reward them, I took some pictures of myself in the bathroom and sent to them. My inbox had been ringing nonstop. I went down to join Marco and his aunt for breakfast. "How has your stay been here so far, Ezra? Do you like what you see?" Vera prompted me and I smiled, nodding my head like an obedient truth. Moreover, it was the truth. Valden was beautiful on its own. "Comparing that cold place..." she went ahead, referring to Caldenmoor, "...to this place of warmth, which is better?" Marco assisted with pouring juice into my cup. I pretended to rack my brain before I chuckled again. "I really can't say..." "Are you sure you 'can't' or you just 'won't?" "It's both. Caldenmoor and Valden are
EZRA'S POVWe arrived earlier this time and it was Cole's idea that we come early. Luckily, my mates...feels a bit weird calling them that but Cole said I'd get used to them. Anyway, my mates and dearest father-in-law encountered some problems with the business and all five of them needed to be pre
EZRA'S POVCole knocked 3 times before I could just pretend I wasn't home at all. "I can hear you breathing just fine, Ezra. Get the fuck out and stop living that introvert life." He yelled so much that I feared he would draw a lot of attention to my abode. I stared at the ceiling. "That's
DORIAN'S POV Caelen didn't look up when we walked in. He was at his desk the way he always was, coat on despite being indoors, a document open in front of him that he wasn't reading anymore. He had that partying stillness which signalled that he had been waiting but decided not to let it show.
DORIAN'S POV. The black ice had no business being as beautiful as it was. That was the only thought I didn't say out loud because it was the kind of observation that served no practical purpose. Draven Stadium, a place that we've owned for more than two years, was the perfect place for us to prac
