As the orchestral music played in the background, the main hall was filled with people that came to celebrate Ricky's father, Rowan Kruger's birthday.

The hall was noisy with people chattering about some topic, most of them were irrelevant to Ricky's ears.

After being forcefully told to greet the visitors by his big brother, Ricky finally had an opening to sneak to the west wing of the mansion where his bedroom was located at.

He desperately looked around as he walked silently through the desolate hallway, looking for a person that he hoped he would found. Suddenly, he spotted a figure near the main entrance to the west wing and immediately smiled, the biggest smile that he had ever had since the start of the summer.

"Grandma!" He called to his grandmother, and she turned to look at him.

"Wow, who do we have here?" His grandmother broadly grinned, and accepted his dearly hug.
