CHATPER ONE:

It  a usual hectic day at the Alfred factory and Julia had her hands wrapped up in gloves that were now soaked in the liquid form of hydrocarbons. 

She had been working consistently the entire morning and was fully exhausted now but she dared take a break else she would be brutalized so she kept working two shifts, hers and that of her sister who was critically ill. 

But as soon as her pale eyes drifted to the supervisor at the extreme of the large chemical factory and realized that he was no longer there, Julia pulled off her face mask and rushed over to her corner to relax. 

But just then, a tall dark male figure stood before her, his brown eyes piercing deep at her and before she could get up on her feet again, the whip he held reached out to the sky, and with a forceful swipe, it landed on her bare back. 

There were old scars on her back and as the whip reached out to her back, the red print was visible as she winced in pain. 

“mmmm…. ” She grumbled, trying to take in all the pain, her deep almond eyes had dark circles around them, and her skin was pale and consumed with cracks that resulted from working consistently at the factory. 

“Who told you that you could take a break” The supervisor yelled out at her as he lashed out the whip on her skin consistently, there were tears and blood splattered around. 

“Please…. Please…. I just needed a moment of rest” Julia cried out, feeling her skin being shredded into two parts. 

“You are an Omega werewolf, as such no rest should be granted to you”

“I just need to take some water, even just a drop will be enough, my throat is cracking and I can't work without it”

“So you are saying that you are not going to work if I don't offer some water to you, to think that you are in a position to bargain with me makes me feel disgusted”

He exclaimed and again, the whip landed hard on her skin, piercing deep as it shredded and patted for the blood to flow out. 

Julia was feeling extremely dizzy, her head spinning and all she wanted was just a moment of rest to breathe fresh air without being interrupted. 

Just when she thought that she was going to collapse, the large metal double door swung open and her stepfather Dominic Alfred stood in, his boots making a loud thundering sound as he stepped in. 

Dominic was previously a worker at the factory owned by Julia's mother Kate until he was able to seduce her she fell madly in love with him and handed out every of her property to him before her demise hoping that he was going to take good care of her kids, But Dominic turned into a beast as soon as she died and devoured her kids. 

“Julia!” He called out as his steps came to a halt right before her. 

“Yes, father” Julia staggers to her feet. 

“Get ready tonight, favor has found you”

“What!”

“The Alpha of our pack has bought you and from tomorrow, you will belong to him”

There was a flash of a smile that appeared on her face and disappeared as soon as it came. 

“What about Sophia, is she coming with me?”

“Sorry about that, but he only paid for you”

“But I can't leave without her, she is sick and there is no one to take care of her”

“Who cares, you can persuade him to come but her, she is as good as dead here so I will gladly need the money”

“I am sorry father, but I can't leave without my sister” She gasped as she spoke, feeling her throat turn sore and dry. 

He stares blankly at her for a moment before he punches her hard on her stomach, she jerks and goes on her knee, clutching onto her stomach in an attempt to prevent him from giving out another punch, but this time, he smashed her hard with his heavy boot and she groans loudly. 

“Ahhh…. Father… Please…. ” She cried out, but there were no tears because it seemed like she had exhausted all her tears over the last few years. 

“You are so stupid and gullible to think that you are in a position to negotiate with me, you go with the Alpha while Sophia stays here and that is final”.

He exclaimed and scurried out of the factory while the rest of the factory workers stood there trembling in fear. 

Julia snuck out of the house after she concluded her night shift and went over to the next mansion that was just a few miles away from the factory. 

The Blake's mansion was a two-storey building with sophisticated furniture and artwork, Ruby was from one of the wealthiest families in the pack and only became friends with Julia due to her vast knowledge of art she was currently studying. 

“Julia hey” Ruby called out to her as soon as she saw her snuck in and dragged up to her room, shutting the door as soon as they were both inside. 

“You look sick, what is going on?”

“Water please” She managed to speak while gasping for breath, her entire body was filled with bruises. 

Rubby rushed downstairs and came back as soon as she could with two bottles of water and a glass to aid the drinking process. 

Julia immediately gulped down the water from the glass and exhaled loudly the moment she was satisfied. 

“Thank you so much, Rubby, I can't thank you enough for all your help”

“You look so pale Julia, your entire body is full of bruises”

“I know, I have been sold to the Alpha”

Julia broke the news with a stern expression. 

“That should be a good thing right, I heard that Alpha Willaims is a nice man”

“I don't know, and I do not care about what happens to me, but I am afraid for Sophie and do not know what will happen to her once I am gone, she's the only family that I have got and I can't lose her”.

 Julia cried out and Ruby gently tapped her shoulder. “It's alright, you need to be strong at a time like this, especially for your sister”

“I know, and I am trying so hard, but it is so difficult, I just want to be able to raise some money and take her to a hospital where she can finally get treated”

“I know how difficult it is, and wish that there was a way I could raise the money for her treatment, I will gladly do it ”

“But there is a way, although it is very difficult and you might not want to stoop so loud to that extent…. ”

“What is it Ruby, just go ahead and say it and I will gladly do it ”

Julia replies anxiously, but Ruby is nervous and hesitates for a moment as she scribbles her brows.
