“You don’t think he’s going to punish you right?” Her face turned with worry flashing in her hers.

Of course, the worst thing that could happen was just punishment right?

“I’ll be fine, thank you.” I gave her a small smile, still giving a little distance.

She noticed the energy I gave her and moved back a little but she didn’t go away. She just stood there like Christine was standing.

I looked at Christine, her eyes locked on Josh’s back who was busy talking to a few warriors who came in.

She was busy chewing on one of her fingernails.

“Calm down Christine, it’s me he wants to see, not you?” I smiled, murmuring just for her to hear.

I wanted to laugh seeing how nervous she was.

“Yea I know.” She replied, her eyes unwavering as they were entirely fixed on his back like it was something she had never seen before.

“Oh wow. So much for being friends, you aren’t even bothered about what he’s going to do to me?” I spewed out, acting extremely annoyed by that.
