Kace got back from the moonshine pack late at night. He went straight to Devon’s study to relay Raphael’s reply, But Devon wasn’t in his study. Devon was always awake at night, but today was different. Kace found it strange. He went to look for it, but met his wife, Doris.

She told Kace that Raphael went out with Devon but wasn’t home yet. He called up Lucas but got no answer, which he found odd.

“What the hell is going on?” He muttered to himself as he stood outside waiting for them to arrive. He didn’t remember Lucas saying anything about an outing late in the night.

The sky was still dark, but the rain had stopped when Lucas drove into the pack. The car light shone on Kace, who had been waiting restlessly for them. Kace had a lot of questions to ask, but he forgot it all when he saw Devon coming out from the passenger side of the car with a girl in his arms.
