Chapter 25

Alice’s eyes grew wide in surprise at the sudden outburst of the wolf. She dropped her hands down and covered her ears. The growl was so loud that it sent shivers down Alice’s spine.

The next second felt unreal to Alice. All she knew was that Devon pounced on her. She closed her eyes, afraid of the impact that would smash her body in an instant.

However, what she felt was the Wolf’s soft purr on the skin of her arm. She opened her eyes slowly to see what was happening, and Devon let out another ferocious growl.

Alice crawled down the bed afraid, she didn’t understand what was happening. She walked towards the door frantically and stumbled when she heard another ferocious growl come from behind her.

She turned around to see where it was coming from and lo and behind a wolf as big as Devon with black fur stood behind. The next second the room door burst open and Lilac stood in between the door, gazing with worry etched on her face.
