Samantha walked into the club and headed towards Karl's office.
Karl wasn't really her uncle he was a good friend of her father. She and Emma were used to calling him 'Uncle'. "Sam? I wasn't expecting you." Karl said. "Uncle I need your help." Samantha said not caring about formalities. "With?" "It's Emma she was diagnosed with leukemia. Uncle she's going to die if she doesn't get surgery." Samantha said. Karl ruffled his hair this was a though choice. Emma was the real daughter of the household while Samantha was adopted. He couldn't let his friend's daughter die right that was too much what was the point of being friends when you couldn't help when you have the means to. "I'm sorry Samantha." Karl said. "Uncle why are you doing this?" Samantha asked. "I have to go." Samantha said leaving. And Karl didn't stop her even though he felt really guilty and he wanted to help. Alexander made himself really clear. He shouldn't get involved or help her. Karl sighed, he doomed his goddaughter to death. Samantha thought of one other person that could help. She headed to her mansion and the servants let her in after informing their boss that she was here. "Samantha what do you want?" Valerie asked. "Aunt I really need your help." Samantha replied. "With what?" "It's Emma she's in the hospital she needs surgery." Samantha said. "I don't have any money to spare." Valerie said coldly. "Aunt how can you be so cold and heartless?" "Cold and heartless?" Valerie asked with a scoff. "Well Samantha you better leave I don't have a penny to spare." Valerie said without even sparing her a glance. "But aunt I'm not the one in need of the surgery Emma is, and she is your niece. Aunt she has leukemia she would die if she doesn't get help." Samantha said. "Well I don't care Samantha she's your responsibility now. It's the least you could do after my brother adopted and raised you all these years." Valerie said nonchalantly. "Find a way to save Emma I don't care." Valerie said. Samantha hated the woman in front of her. She was so mean and cruel although she wasn't always like this. Samantha was on her way out of Valerie's mansion when she bumped into someone. "I'm Sor..." Her words stuck in her throat when she saw who it was. She just walked passed him without even apologizing. "I see Samantha came, what does she want?" The man asked with a straight face. "She wants money to help cure Emma." Valerie replied. "What's wrong with her?" He asked. "According to Samantha she has leukemia." "What? I hope you didn't agree to help her?" He asked. "Of course not I turned her away immediately." Valerie replied and the man kissed her on her lips. "Sir." Jordan called out. "What is it?" Alexander asked. "It's Miss Pierce." Jordan said. "What about her?" "Her little sister is currently in the hospital." Jordan said "What's wrong with her?" "She has leukemia sir." Jordan answered and Alexander stopped what he was doing. "Ready the car I'm going out." Alexander ordered. "Yes sir." Samantha hailed a cab and asked the driver to stop a few minutes walk to the hospital. She was walking slowly and a tear fell down her eyes, she didn't want to lose Emma she was all she had left. Unknown to Samantha that someone was watching her. She walked into Emma's ward and she was still fast asleep. Soon Emma woke up. "Hey how are you feeling?" Samantha asked. "I... I feel a bit faint but... Why did... Why did I pass out what's wrong with me?" Emma asked. "How do I tell you this Emma... You have leukemia." Samantha said maybe Emma was right she should stop treating her like a baby. "What?" Emma asked. "Yes, and you need surgery, a bone marrow transplant." Samantha said. "What happens if I don't get one?" Emma asked. "You'll die." Samantha replied and Emma began sobbing. "Hey I'm not going to let that happen." Samantha reassured. "How are you going to save me? Dad's money is gone, the house it's gone too. And be honest uncle Karl doesn't want to help, does he?" Emma asked and Samantha just kept quiet. "I'm sorry Sam." Emma said. "Whatever for Emma?" Samantha asked. "I'm sorry I keep putting you in bad spots and situation." "Hey, it's not your fault okay. I promise you will get well again." Samantha said hugging her. She knew deep down that it would be hard to raise money for Emma's surgery but she would do whatever it takes. "Uncle, we need to talk." Samantha said over the phone when Emma was asleep again. "Okay, what is it?" Karl asked. "Tell Mr McCallion I want to meet." Samantha said. "Okay, I'll try to set a meeting with him." "Thank you." Samantha said disconnecting the call. As much as she hates what she's about to do it doesn't matter right? She was an adult now it's only a night stand. She'd give herself to him and she would save Emma from dying. Besides she already sold half her soul when she became a strip dancer. Karl dialed the number on Alexander's contact card. And Jordan answered. "Yes." "Can I please speak to Mr McCallion." Karl asked. "About?" Jordan asked he didn't want to waste his boss' time with something irrelevant. "Miss Samantha accepted his offer." Karl replied. "Boss you have a call it's Karl." Jordan said handing the phone to Alexander. "What is it?" Alexander asked as he took the phone from Jordan. "Miss Samantha wants to meet." Karl said and a smile played on Alexander's face. It would seem Samantha was smart after all. "I'll text you a meeting place tell her to come by six o'clock tomorrow." Alexander said. "Yes Mr McCallion." Karl called Samantha back forwarding the address to her. The next day Samantha was with Emma when a beautiful girl walked in. "Hey girl." "Penelope." Samantha smiled. "The one and only." Penelope said hugging her. "How is she?" She asked. "Okay for now, I guess." Samantha said. "Oh Sam, I'm so sorry." "Thanks." Samantha said. "Although I have a favor to ask Penelope." "What is it?" Penelope asked. "Please stay with Emma I have a meeting with someone." "Who?" Penelope asked. "Just someone, please it's a very important meeting and I... Might be able to get the money for Emma's surgery." Samantha replied. "There's been a change to what we discussed last time.""Sophie Weston, have you come here freely and without reservation to give yourself to him in marriage?" The priest asked Samantha. "Yes." Samantha replied. "Alexander McCallion, have you come here freely and without reservation to give yourself to her in marriage?" "Yes." Alexander replied. "Will you honour him as your husband for the rest of your life?" "I will." Samantha answered. "Will you honour her as your wife, for the rest of your life?" "I will." Alexander replied. "Will you accept children lovingly from God and bring them up according to the law of Christ?" The priest asked. "Yes." The duo replied. "It's time to exchange the vows." Rita and Christopher gave Alexander, and Samantha the rings and the duo began to recite the vows."I Sophie Weston take you, Alexander McCallion to be my husband. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad times, in sickness and in health. I will love and honour you till death do us part." Samantha said sliding the ring into his
Alexander walked into the house and Samantha smiled at him. She immediately got on her feet and went to hug him. "Hey beautiful." Alexander said pecking her cheeks. "Hey.""I came to give you this." Alexander said. "What's this?" Samantha asked taking the file from him. "Actually I would have given this to you a year back but... Well now that I remembered I just thought to give it to you." Alexander said and Samantha went through the papers."Wait... These are the documents of our house." Samantha said, "Yeah, I'm giving your foster parents home back to you. I purchased it from the bank you see. I just forgot to give it back.""Emma would be so happy, thank you." Samantha said hugging him. "You're welcome, my love. I have to go." Alexander said. "Hey, you're not leaving. Help me make a pick between this two colors." Samantha said. "Why don't you just pick anyone?" Alexander asked. "I want you to pick.""The purple one." Alexander said. "See that wasn't so bad, and that was m
"I probably would have preferred Kate to her.""This is about something else isn't it?" Lionel asked."This is about something else isn't it?" Lionel asked again. He knew his wife a lot. "I don't want to talk about it." She said. They continued the dinner in silence till it was over. "Thank you for having me Mr and Mrs Moon." Penelope said. "Of course, and thank you for coming." Lionel said. "Tell me something did you get employed at the hospital because you got yourself into my son's bed?" Stella asked. "Mom! That's enough." Lucian said. "I'm just curious.""Mom, you're being mean." Mildred said. "Why are you all taking her side?" Stella asked. "Because she did nothing wrong, I know why you don't really like her." Lucian said. "Because your ex girlfriend is better." She said. "I'd rather die single than go back to Kate. I love Penelope and nothing you do will change that." Lucian said."Penelope let's go, I guess mom has too much alcohol so she isn't thinking straight." Lu
"I'm not saying you are. I'm just saying...""That's what you're trying to imply." Sebastian frowned. "Keep your money Sebastian, I know you're trying to impress your girlfriend but don't." Mr Grayson said. "So, Emma tell me how you two got into a relationship." Mrs Grayson asked. "Oh, it's kind of embarrassing." Emma said. "How so dear?" She asked. "Sebastian was a weird guy. I don't know the first time he walked into class I have to admit I hated him. He might have good looks but his manners were poor." Emma said. "You're right about that." Mr Grayson said and Sebastian glared at him. "We bumped into each other on the streets and... He asked if I'd love to go on a walk again with him since we live close to each other.""We've became close since then after I found out he wasn't a total idiot." Emma said. "I like you Emma, you're very outspoken." Mr Grayson said. "Thank you sir."Lucian arrived home only to hear voices he was surprised to see his parents and Mildred laughing.
"Samantha a lot had happened since... I thought I lost you." Emma said. "I know, it wouldn't have been easy thinking you lost me too." Samantha said. "It wasn't, losing dad, mom, aunt, you. I felt so empty. But Sebastian, Mildred, Carlos, Scarlett and Linda kinda made it a bit bearable." Emma said. "I'm glad they were there for you, come park your things." Samantha said and Emma nodded. "Guys thank you all for coming. Thank you all for supporting me." Samantha said. "Of course Samantha, you're a part of the group." Ken said. "But more than that. You guys helped me regardless of the fact that I pretended not to know you guys." Samantha said. "Samantha you chose to trust us, we owe you our support. You've been through a lot with us, you almost got killed I wouldn't blame you if you choose not to come to us for help." Lucian said."Still thank you all I wouldn't have been able to pull that off without your help.""We're glad we could help." They said. "Oh Joelle sorry I sent a mo
When Samantha heard this she nearly lost her footing. "Well get dressed first." Raphael said."Penelope you have to get the hell out of there." Samantha said. "There's still a few percent to go." Penelope said. "Ditch it they would kill you." Samantha said. "It's done.""Get out now." Samantha said and Penelope arranged her dress before walking out of the room. Samantha knew that the father and son pair would surely see Penelope coming from the study so she decided to stage a little drama. "Play along." Samantha said. "I don't want you calling me Samantha how many times do I have to tell you and your friends that I want nothing to do with any of you?" Samantha asked. "Samantha..." Penelope called out. "Penelope what are you doing up here?" Raphael asked. "Oh she came upstairs after she saw me and you heading up here and then she's telling me some weird crap about our childhood." Samantha said. "Penelope you know you should stop talking about Samantha." Raphael said. "And yo
