I had just walked into the kitchen to prepare breakfast for everyone when the horrible smell of unwashed dishes slapped me in the face. My nostrils folded in disgust.

I stood there for a second, staring at the sink piled with greasy plates, cups with dried tea at the bottom, and pots that hadn't been touched since dinner. The sight alone irritated me.

How could Emily live like this?

We were two grown women in the house, yet I always ended up cleaning after her like some maid. But I reminded myself again-she was still the new bride. A month wasn't too long. It would be wrong to start drama over dishes.
