Chapter 06 (a)

That night Hazel did not think that another visitor would come to meet her. She was sliding the curtains close in her room to go to sleep when Eliseva’s messenger Mahru came to tell her that a customer had come for her tonight.

As soon as she heard this, her blood ran cold due to fear. She clutched the fabric of curtains which was in her hands in anticipation because she did not know how to escape from this new man.

Mahru left her room and Hazel sat on her bed, lost in fear. She began to fidget with the corner of her white-coloured kameez between her fingers, not knowing if even a per cent of her restlessness would cease by doing it.

The door of her room opened and she jolted up from her place. Her widened eyes stared at the man who stood before her. His eyes were bloodshot red, and it terrified her more than she already was. He was long and intimidating. His bloody hazel eyes stared at her maliciously like he was going to tear her limbs apart.
