INSIDE OUT

Prologue

  "Godammit!" Melinda cursed under her breath as she picked up the noisy metal trays that crashed on the wooden floor, probably in a bid to reveal her plans to the entire sleeping household. It was just the break of dawn on a Saturday morning. A perfect morning for her escape. She had been serving the Wright's family for eight years, since she was rescued from the jaws of the street. She has always been a girl who loves freedom. Her first fight for freedom was against a very fetish group of kidnappers who captured her while she was 'free'. She had escaped through the back door of her family house just to go into the woods to play with her rabbit friends. Her freedom was snapped out of her fingers by those evil men. She was only eight years old then. Waiting for the ripe moment when she could attain the stage of becoming their sex slave, they held her captive for four years.

         But, the cunning beautiful freedom lover, Melinda, thwarted their plans. With such dexterity and cleverness, she carried out her escape plan, only to land into the hands of the Wright family. Under the guise that they were going to shelter her and save her from street urchins and other snares of the street, they had just picked up a servant girl for free. That was what brought Melinda under the bondage of the Wright's family. She did what was to be done by ten pairs of hands, she endured all manner of verbal abuse from the ugly twins, Kylie and Kyla, her age mates. She endured the physical abuse from Mrs Wright. Most of all, with a blank face and heavy heart, she endured the sexual advances from Mr Wright. How disgusting and unbecoming of a middle aged politician to shamelessly vow to take away her innocence before she clocked twenty years. She was going to be twenty in two days. Out of all things, it was only her birthday and name she could remember. This threat from the man of the house facilitated her escape plan. Fortunately for her, the only beautiful,normal, sane and kind creature in the Wright's home was Jordan, the only son. The eldest of the Wright's siblings. He was the only member of the house hold who knew of Melinda's escape plans this moment. 

      Today was her day of freedom. "Not even these evil trays can stop me" she muttered. Stealthily, she reached for her boots and a cloth sack by the entrance of the kitchen. Three...two...one. She was out of the Wright's home. She made it past the kitchen, past the aisle shared by the six rooms, then past the entrance door before she made it past the fence. An act, Jordan had helped her perfect in the late hours of the nights when they plotted her escape.

She was free at last. She was out.
