A Surprise

I followed Helen with hitched breath and I was led through large hallway until we stopped before a set of closed doors. She stopped expectantly, waiting for me to enter on my own.

I paused and inhaled another breath then lifted my hand to push open the door by the right. Prince Otis sat within the large study room with a small smile plastered on his face as he looked at me.

I stepped towards him hesitantly, my eyes locked to his as a part of me recognized a rare familiarity that existed between us. He lifted his hand for me beckoningly as I quicken my steps more to take it.
