“I need to see my friend again” I said breathlessly.

His brow furrowed slightly in confusion, “what friend are you talking about?”

“Her name is Agnes. She was taken from my village as well. Please let me see her again. I just want to be sure she is fine”

He shook his head at me, “That’s not going to be possible. Most of the slaves had already been sent off to their potential owners and getting your friend back is not going to be possible, I’m afraid”

“But you are the Prince. I thought as such, you can get anything you want as well” I said sounding desperate.

“That's where you are wrong, Iris. I may be the prince around here but there are some lines I can’t cross regardless and that includes getting your friend back once she is sold out. It’s a total breach of contract so you will have to ask for something else”
