The colour drained from Daniel’s face. He shook his head and replied, “I didn’t. Ursula was still breathing when we left the office, Olivia.”

Olivia looked at him and asked, “Why didn’t you rush her to the hospital after you and your lover hurt her, Mr Green?

Did you forget that she was carrying your children? Didn’t you know that excessive bleeding would kill her, Mr Green? How could you be so heartless?

Who gave you the confidence to lay your filthy hands on the Morgan family princess? I would like to know who will be representing you, Mr Green.

I hope you rot in jail for the rest of your life. You are such an ingrate.” Then Olivia left the interrogation room.

Patricia was sobbing uncontrollably in police custody. She felt that the charges pressed against them were too harsh.

At that moment, the police officer looked at her and said, “Please come with me to the interrogation room.”

Then Patricia was taken to the interrogation room. Detective Blade was waiting for her. He placed the voice recorder on the table, and then he started recording.

Detective Blade introduced himself and asked, “Miss Sullivan, have you contacted your lawyer yet?”

Patricia shrugged indifferently and replied, “No need.” She thought Daniel would take all the blame for her because he loved her the most.

Detective Blade looked at her and asked, “Miss Sullivan, what is your relationship with CEO Green?”

Patricia smiled and replied, “We have an employer-employee relationship, Sir. I am CEO Green’s secretary.”

Director Blade’s face darkened when he heard Patricia lying with a straight face and asked, “Does CEO Green have a habit of buying apartments for his secretarial team?”

Patricia nearly choked with her saliva, but she quickly calmed herself and replied, “I don’t know what you are talking about, Detective Blade?”

Detective Blade smiled, but the smile didn’t reach his eyes, and asked, “Does Ballito Hills ring a bell, Miss Sullivan?” Patricia looked at Detective Blade, but she didn’t utter a word.

Detective Blade looked at her and said, “Miss Sullivan, please tell me what happened in Mr Green’s office?”

Patricia looked at her manicured nails and replied, “I went to Mr Green’s office to ask him to sign the documents.

When I saw CEO Green fighting with his wife, Ursula, I felt it wasn’t my place to intervene. So, I put the document on his desk and left.

Later, Mr Green asked me to accompany him for lunch to discuss the ongoing project. Then we went to His Wings restaurant to eat.

While we were eating, two police officers approached us and arrested us for murdering Mrs Green. I am wrongly accused, Detective Blade.” Then she sobbed sorrowfully.

Detective Blade handed her the bottle of mineral water and asked, “Are you done, Miss Sullivan?” Before Patricia could respond, Detective Blade played the voice recording.

Patricia was so shocked that she stopped crying and said, “Please believe me, Detective Blade. I swear I didn’t touch Mrs Green. It was Dan’s idea to kill his wife.”

Detective Blade couldn’t believe his ears and said, “Miss Sullivan, I advise you to find a good lawyer.” Then he stood up and left the interrogation room.

At the JHB Stanton Private Hospital morgue, Kingston broke down when he saw his sister and his nephews lying quietly beside their mother. When he was selecting his sister’s casket, he forgot to select coffins for his nephews. He was overwhelmed with grief.

Kingston wiped the tears, then he looked at Mr Angel and said, “Please ask your team to bring two coffins for my nephews.”

Then he dialed Rain’s number and said, “Hello, Rain. I need a favour. I forgot to buy my nephews' clothes. Kindly go to Sugar Lump and buy them some clothes.

Also, please buy a dress for my sister. The one she is wearing is covered in blood, and it is torn. Kindly bring the clothes to the hospital morgue. ” Then they hung up.

Rain was in her bedroom, tears streaming down her face. She was holding a nicely wrapped baby shower gift. She had bought cute, tiny suits for her nephews at Sugar Lump.

She was organizing Ursula’s baby shower, and it was supposed to be on Saturday. However, Daniel took that joy from them.

Rain asked her brother to accompany her to the Green mansion because she was not in the right state of mind to drive. Harvey took his car keys and drove to the Green mansion.

When Harvey and his sister arrived at the Green mansion, Rain couldn’t believe her eyes when she found Daniel’s parents in the living room watching television. Rain nearly fainted with anger and asked, “What are you doing here?”

There was a hint of irritation in Mrs Green’s voice, and she replied, “My son asked me to move in here to take care of my daughter-in-law? Rain, don't forget that this mansion belongs to the Green family.”

Rain sneered, disgust evident in her voice, “Which daughter-in-law are you talking about, Auntie? If I am not mistaken, the owner of this mansion was killed by your son. Are you talking about your new daughter-in-law, Patricia Sullivan?”

Before she could respond, Harvey walked into the living room and said, “I have seen shameless people, but I have never encountered anyone as shameless as you are. You are just parasites. Please leave.”

The Green couple was suppressed by Harvey’s cold aura. They felt humiliated and embarrassed. They even forgot to take their suitcase from the guest room.

Butler Steve approached Harvey and asked, “Mr Stanton, is Miss Ursula alright?” Harvey shook his head and asked, “Didn’t the Green couple tell you what happened, Uncle Steve?”

Butler Steve shook his head and replied, “Mrs Green asked me to move her suitcase to the main bedroom, but I refused. What happened to Miss Ursula, Mr Stanton?” He had never liked the Green family. He felt that they were pretentious.

Harvey led Butler Steve to a chair and said, “Daniel and his lover killed Ursula.” Butler Steve was so shocked that tears streamed down his face. How could Daniel be so ungrateful? Harvey hugged Uncle Steve tightly and comforted him.

Butler Steve loved Ursula like his daughter. Ursula’s parents asked him to move to the Green mansion to take care of their daughter and son-in-law.

Rain went to Ursula’s dressing room and picked up a new maternity dress, then they drove to the hospital morgue.

When they arrived at the hospital morgue, Rain asked Kingston and others to wait outside while she was dressing up her best friend and her nephews.

An hour later, His Love Funeral Home team brought two little coffins. Kingston looked at the three coffins and vowed that he would avenge his sister.

Then the Funeral Director, Mr Angel, and his team moved the deceased to His Love Funeral Home.

Mrs Phillips and Miss Becky made sure she paid for what she had done.”Maddox walked towards the balcony, then he pulled Rain into a tight embrace and said, “I know Zara’s death doesn’t change anything, my dearest Rain.It won’t bring my Godson back, but I am glad that she is gone. She finally got what she deserved.”Rain buried her face in Maddox’s chest, waiting for the surge of triumph she had always imagined. She murmured, her voice almost lost to the wind, “I thought I would be happy.I thought hearing she was gone would feel like a victory. But there is no ripple in my heart, Maddox. There is no satisfaction. The hate was so loud for so long that I thought its absence would be beautiful. However, it just feels like nothing.”In South Africa, someone leaked Zara’s video clip showing her being beaten up by her inmates. Th

The tragedy was compounded by the revelation that his daughter, Zara, had passed away alongside him. Many in his inner circle had been holding out hope for his return, stubbornly convinced that the money laundering charges were nothing more than a calculated smear campaign designed to topple his empire. They viewed the legal battle as a personal vendetta rather than a criminal reality, and his sudden passing had turned their hope into a bitter sense of injustice. At the Carson family residence, the Carson elders were resting in the bedroom while the television was playing.Despite their long-standing distaste for the Pearson family’s unethical business practices, the Carson elders were genuinely stunned by the news.It was one thing to root for the downfall of a corrupt competitor, but the sheer finality of Mr Pearson dying alongside his daughter, Zara, was a level of tra
