Chapter 2

Although Sienna was being subjected to such terrible harassment, she still refused to reveal her true identity or concede and ask me for help.

"From what I understand," I said, "you're operating a proper entertainment company. Every person who was selected has to go through three rounds of auditions. You're breaking the industry's rules by changing the actress at the last minute, especially since Sienna has already signed the contract."

Quinn suddenly burst into laughter. "Only regular people like you have to play by the rules. The members of the Miller family follow our own set of rules."

She pulled out Sienna's contract and flung it at my face, sneering, "Open your eyes and take a good look at what's written here."

I grabbed the contract. The words "Female Lead" had been messily covered up and replaced by "Female Lead (Nude Double)" in wonky handwriting. The ink hadn't even dried yet, and there were coffee stains on the paper.

The blatant arrogance was repulsive.

"You…"

Sienna trembled with anger. "It's so obvious that you've tampered with the contract. Even an elementary student would be able to tell. If the rest of the entertainment industry finds out that you're willing to use such lowly tactics, no one will dare to sign with your company in the future!"

Eric was just about to speak when Quinn beat him to it. "Do you have any idea how powerful the Miller family is? Don't you know who I am? Even the top actress of the industry will have to kneel before me and wipe my feet!"

The disdain in her eyes deepened when she realized that Sienna wasn't going to back down. "Either you take your clothes off by yourself, or…"

She shot a look behind her before continuing, "Or I'll have my good friends give you a hand."

A group of women, who were wearing torn fishnet stockings, surrounded Sienna and me in an instant. A woman with braided hair rolled up her sleeves impatiently, revealing a smattering of scars on her arms that was reminiscent of writhing centipedes.

"How annoying. What are you causing such a fuss over stripping?"

I stared unblinkingly at Quinn and her group of friends, all of whom were clad in strange clothes, and scoffed in my heart.

Quinn was nothing like an heiress of a prestigious family. She resorted to underhanded tactics and behaved crudely. The company that she kept was also impossible to describe.

"Did you really believe her when she claimed to be the heiress of the Miller family?" I demanded.

Eric hastily stepped forward and said, "Mr. Miller personally escorted her to the set. He even signed a one-billion-dollar investment contract on the spot with the condition that his precious daughter got the best role in the production.

"There's just no way that she's a fake. You should just yield. Just treat this experience as sacrificing your body for the sake of art! Besides, you won't be credited since you're just a nude double. As long as your face is properly covered up, no one will know that a rising star bared her naked body on screen."

Sienna had never experienced such humiliation in her life. Her back was as tense as a drawn bow, and every muscle in her body trembled.

I was furious and heartbroken over Sienna's plight. I lowered my voice and asked, "Are you sure you don't want to reveal that you're the second heiress of the Miller family?"

Sienna pursed her lips. Although she didn't say a single word, I knew she was finally conceding.

I didn't hesitate and dialed a number. When the call connected, Eric and the rest of the production crew were shocked by the voice that echoed from the receiver.

"When did your company start tampering with your talents' contracts, Mr. Richards?" I asked.

I intentionally turned on speaker mode, ensuring that the CEO of the entertainment company, Alex Richards', voice resounded clearly around the set.

"That's impossible," Alex replied. "Our company has always played by the rules. Although you told me that I didn't need to give any special attention to Sienna, taking our friendship into consideration, I still won't give her the short end of the stick…"

A complicated expression crossed Eric's face.

Even if he disregarded the fact that a regular person wouldn't have access to Alex's contact number, he immediately understood that I wasn't someone to be trifled with just based on the respectful and fearful tone that Alex used when he spoke to me. After all, Alex was the CEO of their company.
