Chapter 3

Eric shot a look at the production crew members, gesturing for them to stop Quinn and her lackeys.

"It seems that we won't be able to come to an agreement for the time—"

Feeling humiliated, Quinn furiously bit on her lip until it nearly bled. "Fine! You've got some nerve disrespecting the heiress of the Miller family like this. It seems that you won't learn your lesson until you're forced to face some real consequences."

She pulled out a diamond-encrusted phone and dialed a number. The moment the call connected, she began whining into the receiver.

"Someone wants to steal my role, Mom. She even brought someone to the set to cause a commotion. They're trampling all over the Miller family's reputation. I want you to come here right now and stand up for me!"

Eric's expression stiffened in an instant. He hastily stepped forward and said with a smile, "This is just a small matter. There's no need to get Mrs. Miller involved—"

The doors to the set were thrown open before he could finish his sentence.

A woman, who was wearing dazzling jewelry from head to toe and four-inch high heels, stormed onto the set. The emerald bracelets on her wrist jangled loudly as they collided against each other.

"Who's the fool who's stupid enough to bully the precious daughter of the Miller family?" Mrs. Miller demanded.

Quinn immediately put on an act when she noticed that her pillar of support had arrived. She trotted over to Mrs. Miller and threw herself into her arms.

"It's her, Mom!" she exclaimed. "Her name's Sienna Miller. She's just a lowly nude double, but she wants to fight me for the role of the female lead. She even accused the Miller family of using underhanded tactics…"

Two teardrops rolled down her cheeks as she spoke, making it look as if she had just endured some terrible hardship.

Mrs. Miller's eyes widened and burned with fury. "She's got some nerve. How dare she try to lay her hands on something that the Miller family has already set their eyes on?"

Her piercing voice cut through the air as she continued, "Do you have any idea how powerful the Miller family is? Who the hell do you think you are? Every prestigious family in Deslano has to act according to the Miller family's whims.

"We're already doing you a favor by allowing you to strip in Quinn's stead. How dare a nude double like you fight my precious daughter for the role of the female lead? Do you really think you deserve such an important role?"

Quinn stuck her chin into the air as a cold and mocking smile stretched across her lips.

"She's right! So what if you called Mr. Richards? He'll still have to grovel at our feet for our help when he sees us. Some people just love to flaunt their so-called connections. Who knows how you even got that connection in the first place? You probably fell into bed with one of the higher-ups, didn't you?

"You're nothing like Mom and me. Mom's the official lady of the Miller family, while I'm their heiress with their noble blood running through my veins. So, are you finally going to strip now? Don't tell me you're waiting for me to do it for you?"

The official lady of the Miller family? Noble blood?

I nearly burst into laughter upon hearing Quinn's words.

However, the branded clothes that Mrs. Miller was clad in from head-to-toe were definitely real. I also recognized the jewelry that she was wearing with just a glance. The bracelets that she was wearing were the same ones that the Miller family purchased at an auction several years ago for exorbitant prices.

It was no wonder that Mrs. Miller and Quinn were brave enough to act so arrogantly. It seemed that they did indeed have someone supporting them behind the scenes.

Eric swiftly fixed a fawning expression on his face. He was smiling so widely that wrinkles appeared all over his face.

The crew members hastily moved the set's most expensive leather chair for Mrs. Miller. They also prepared a steaming hot cup of premium coffee for her.

However, Mrs. Miller impatiently waved her hand and snapped, "Don't think that you can distract me with your measly offerings! I'm going to make myself clear right now. The role of the female lead has to go to my daughter, Quinn. Also, that bitch must strip in front of everyone."

Quinn straightened her back, looking like a proud peacock as she stuck her chin in the air.

"That's right! I want that bitch to be kicked out of the set while fully nude. Only then will she learn her place."

Although there were over 20 crew members on the set, it was deathly quiet. A dozen of the male crew members' eyes strayed in Sienna's direction. Some of them pretended to turn their heads away, but they couldn't help but rake their gazes across her body from the corner of their eye.

Their nauseating gazes were incredibly repulsive.
