Dad sighed deeply. His words were colored with sorrow when he asked, "What nonsense are you spouting, Lydia? I traveled to more than 20 countries just to cure Olivia's illness. Where would I get the time or energy to start another family?"

His words immediately extinguished a majority of my suspicions.

Mom was born into a prestigious business family that had prospered for centuries. Grandpa cherished her like a precious treasure. Unfortunately, she was born with a weak constitution. Grandpa was heartbroken and dedicated himself to finding a son-in-law who would take good care of her.

After careful deliberation, Grandpa decided on Dad, a man from the sticks who was willing to sell his own kidney to save his ailing mother.

Dad didn't let Grandpa down. It didn't take long before he gained a reputation for being obsessed with spoiling and doting on his wife within the circle. He would go into a full-blown panic if Mom so much as sneezed.

Five years ago, Mom was suddenly diagnosed with cancer. Dad didn't hesitate for even a second when he cast aside all his responsibilities in the company to travel the world with Mom in search of a cure.

I still remembered how he had sat in church, praying as tears streamed down his face. He even swore that he was willing to give up ten years of his own life as long as Mom could have one year of good health.

Dad joined the church after Mom passed away, praying for her all day and all night.

I lowered my voice and briefly comforted Dad before quickly hanging up. I then scrutinized the fierce-looking young woman standing before me once again.

"You said that you're part of Deslano's Miller family. Which Miller family?" I asked.

Quinn Miller scoffed in disdain and said, "Makes sense that a country bumpkin like you wouldn't know anything. You've got some nerve fighting me for this role when you don't even know the Miller family."

She haughtily raised her hand and pointed at the glimmering, gold skyscraper in the heart of the city.

"See that skyscraper over there? The entire building belongs to my family. Not only that, but most of the businesses in this affluent area belong to my family too. Are you sure you want to make an enemy out of me?"

Noticing the tense atmosphere, the director, Eric Reed, hurried over to us. He lowered his voice and whispered into my ear, "You should convince Sienna to change her mind if you know what's good for her.

"I know that she has had a tough time crawling her way up the entertainment industry, but it'll be easier for her to make a comeback in the future if she just concedes for now."

My sister, Sienna Miller, curled her hands into tight fists upon hearing Eric's words. "The contract clearly states that I'm supposed to be the female lead. Not only are you breaking the contract, but you also want me to be her nude double. That's impossible!"

Fury burned in her eyes. Her voice was as cold as ice when she hissed, "On top of breaking the contract, you also raised your hand against other people on set. I'm going to file lawsuits against all of you!"

Sienna was born with a stubborn streak.

From the very beginning, I opposed her decision to join the messy and chaotic entertainment industry. However, she was willing to hide her identity as the second heiress of the Miller family just to make a name for herself through her own efforts.
